Sorry only saw your post now.

Have adjusted wake, smoke & hit points (GT Life, was 6000, now 2000) to make more realistic damage.

Just drop the new DKM_Z39.lua into the main mod folder & overwrite (attached below)

Please test, as I have as a separate install, not as pack, have also renamed to "WWII KMS Z39 HE"

If you want to change just adjust this line (in red) to what you want:

Just curious but are muzzle blasts a function of lua codes?  In other words is there a way to increase or decrease the blast and smoke size by lua code?

If so, can someone point me to the section in the lua where the codes might be?

I'm mainly hacking it by trial and lots of error, but this is my rudimentary findings (This is from another LUA, but principles the same)

Size should adj. volume?

Z39 has 2 values, assume 1st is 1 stack, but didn't seem to adj., just the 2nd values? Maybe some else knows better?

Also heard experts like Admiral etc, mentioning the smoke had been adj. by ED a few updates back - don't know how that effects things?

The code for funnel smoke remians the same as before - the smoke itself is one volume and all white, you cant adjust thickness any more. 

The third variable is left and right of centre - useful on many ships which have 2 funnels side by side

[1] = 0.60, pos = {0.0, 35.0, 10.0 } }, -- 1st funnel

[2] - 0.60, pos = {0.0, 35.0, -10.0} }, -- 2nd funnel - in this case 2 funnels equal distance behind centre, same height, one to the left and one to the right - if you wanted 2 funnels

                                                                                        one behind the other then the first variable (0.0) changes to say for example -10.0 , or 10 units behind funnel 1.

I believe ED are going to do something else with this, but I know not what that might be.  It works fine apart from thickness and darker, which used to be almost perfect, sadly no longer !!

the Louisiana class battleship looks very well made, it is magnificent.

Sorry Seabat, now see you were asking about GUN muzzle flash

Spoke to Hawkeye60.

Can be done with LUA, but also requires accompanying animated visuals, so not just LUA edit.

Yes, big guns need big visuals.

Was playing around with some older WW2 mods and thought the big guns were too similar to the smaller guns and was wondering if I could double the size of the visual.

Will follow up with Hawkeye and see what I can convince him to do 🙂

Agree👍

Hopefully ED can upgrade and add search lights, plus illumination flares for night action. Will be great to simulate the action around Salvo Island in Guadalcanal, using WWII Mariana's with these assets. Maybe even crewed guns as someone suggested (Andrew8604) Fighting off Kamikaze attacks could be epic

Beautiful ships, but need some corrections. Fletcher do not appears like static object, only like ship. Wrote this to WWII Pacific Allied Assets theme but stil no answer

WWII Fletcher class DD is able to be placed as a static ship, by me?

Might be a mod conflict?

There are also quite a few versions in the WWII pack, so maybe try some of the other names in the Fletcher class?

But there are also many mods that need testing & correcting - if anyone is interested in helping out  please join the Discord channel to help the community

Thank you for your support. I'm currently working on the Shinano, and the Louisiana has already been completed. However, due to a system reset, the mod files in my C drive were lost. Fortunately, the model files are still intact. I need to rewrite the Lua script to get it running properly again. It won't be long before you can see it.

Do we get two versions of the Shinano, i.e. the one without aircraft, and the other underwater with holes in it?

I don't quite understand what you mean. This aircraft carrier is just a conventional one; you can station aircraft on the deck.
