Xupicor Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I just tried it with the latest OB - didn't seem to be doing anything, I didn't see any droplets. It's quite a bummer. I hope 2.8 brings a fix with the weather stuff, but not going to hold my breath. Such a pity canopy effects are so underdeveloped and pushed far to the side - especially in VR... 1 Windows 11 Pro, RTX4090 (24GB), 5950X @ 4.3GHz, 64GB RAM @ 3000MHz, M.2 SSD 8TB, Pimax Crystal Modules and maps: All of 'em. (It's a problem...)

Got a kick out of letting the F-16 sit on the runway for 10 minutes and seeing how saturated with rain the canopy got. I saw in a mission with the Apache that there was sticky raindrops that suddently disappear when rain stops, and suddently reapear when start raining. I am going to remove the mod because of that, as there are no wippers in DCS still, and it is very hard and I think unrealistic to have those sticky rain drops there at certain speeds, specially with blades spinning over your head. I liked previously when the raindrops where appearing and disappearing gradually with speed.
Lone_Hawk_13 Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Hey, really want to get this mod working but cant. so im a VR player and when i tested the mod all i get is rain drops that build up to the point that the entire canopy view is blocked. the rain doesnt move or clear in anyway until you fly into an area that isnt raining. i miss being able to have rain on the canopy from when i played 2d but with this mod its unplayable as i cant see within 1 minute and have to take off in the external view. hopefully im just doing wrong, but any help would be very much appreciated.
