Some suggestions....

We should definately focus our choices on the application of the aircraft in the campaigns as well as being able to work well with the other DCS aircraft in multiplayer.

As for helicopters, how cool would it be to have some CSAR (combat search and rescue) You gotta work with your crew (was it the jump master?) letting you know how to move in hover. little to the left, little forward, hold your hover, hold your hover, while your getting shot at and then you have the a-10s and other aircraft doing support. And then your winch gets stuck and you gotta use your backup and you got the jungle penetrator or basket used to rescue the downed pilot? While you also have a gunner keeping things clear in the trees. Then after recovering the downed pilot you lose an engine etc. How cool would it be to be flying a blackhawk. You could do CSAR, medivac, or you can arm it with some guns and rockets. Many interesting campaigns with something like UH-60 or a UH-1. I seriously think having CSAR ops would make DCS even more unique and appealing.

As for fixed wing...Naval ops would be great. What about the old navy hotrod, the A-4 Skyhawk? I think we definately need a carrier ops aircraft. Or how about the coolest turboprop, the OV-10 Bronco.

I think a FAC aircraft would be neat as hell, OV-10 or Mohawk, Fly out and spot the enemy, radio their coordinates and wait for the heavys to arrive.

Did somebody notice it's 2009? C'mon, F-16 should be at the Smithsonian next to the Tomcat (I know I'll die for this but I'm drunk :P). I would like to see modern warfare, not 35 years old aircrafts from the cold war. I vote for Eurofighter, Su-35 or F-22.

Exactly I highly doubt the good people at the US department of defense are about to give the detailed workings of their newest fighter hehehe.

Wish lists are great, but I'd be happy to have any plane/chopper DCS decides to move forward with if it gives me the playability of the KA-50.

Love it

I voted for F-16 but from others post(not in this thread), product line has been already determined therefore sadly, these questionnaires cant shake ED members heart

English Electric Lightning.... Except I suppose it wouldn't be much use except for blasting around on a joyride, so I would go for any model of Harrier, Tornado or Jaguar.

Would also love to see a super etandard or a Mirage 2000.

I think the Harrier or Tornado would be an excellent choice.

For one they are older planes so its easier to get the technical details.

The "newer" planes like F18 are still covered with a veil of secrecy, wich results in a sim with ALOT of guess work and thus unrealistic.

The second point is that those planes are not crammed full with computers so its easier to implement in the state the sim is now.

AFAIK the Tornado features lots of up to date systems that are, to this day, classified (at least the upgraded versions do).

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

I think the Harrier...

I've always thought that was a cool plane. Vertical take off if needed, that is sweet! The F-35 is supposed to have a variant that does that as well; both the Navy and Marines of the USA are buying something like 350 each.

It looks like a really cool fighter!

F-35 Lightning II {check it out}

Something that I as a swede would love to see is JAS 39 Gripen NG. Along with some proper small roads with "flygrakor" (road-side emergency airbase) on them to give the perfect JAS-feeling ;)

I'd go for the Harrier on nr 1. We already have a great helo module so vertical takeoff characteristics are possible I'd say and the aircraft is a technical marvel and would be *very* cool to operate in a full detail sim.

Then the Hornet because I loved my time with Jane's sim!

Then the F-16 to get all the Falcon doodz in here so we have a nice big family of simmers duking it out with eachother with the different modules. :P

Im waiting for the AH-64 (2-seater = coop?) and would like to see the Harrier too. Would be very hard to Hover with that thing.

That would be my choice as well. The Harrier would be a cool idea as well. That is definitely something I would like to try in a realistic sim.
