joey45
I would rather see somethime thats not Amrerican or Russian... Lets have somethime different please. Otherwise I am eager for something that is fast, flies low and drops bombs on heavily defended targets. Make that a Tornado, Jaguar, Mirage F1 or Harrieryou forgot the Buccaneer. P.S. have you seen the pit of the Jag..?? http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin/jag_gr3/JAGUAR%20GR.3%20023.JPG http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin/jag_gr3/JAGUAR%20GR.3%20024.JPG http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin/jag_gr3/JAGUAR%20GR.3%20025.JPG http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin/jag_gr3/JAGUAR%20GR.3%20026.JPG Edited May 18, 2009 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Comieodor
Wow, I wouldn't of picked the F/A18 to be that popular. I suppose a lot of Countries (my own included) have them. Personally couldn't be less intereseted in the F-16 (Heresy I know), the're just so plain, so lifeless, so damn boring. Harrier would be sweet, but I put my vote in for the SU-27, ever since Flanker 2.0 its been my bird of choice. There's something special about taking one of them on a virtual sortie, and managing to bring it back afterwards. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Scrape
F-15C. Not a pound for air to ground. (I'll be happy with an F-15E too though, so long as I can strip off the CFTs and fly it in the A2A role ;) ) lol those CFTs never come off for flight. It can but they don't fly them that way. Vote: F-15E Big bag fast brusier. Not really steathly with hollywood futuristic looks of the 22 or 35, but those jets put together couldn't bring the pain like a Strike Eagle. Every weapon in the inventory minus only ALCMs and CALCMs. "It's amazing, even at the Formula 1 level how many drivers still think the brakes are for slowing the car down." ARM505
I can't believe how popular the F's (-15/-16/-18 ) are. Haven't they been done PLENTY? Hell, there's even been another whole SERIES of sims about the F-16 alone, up to number 4, and even an -18 series!
TangoRomeo
Wow, I wouldn't of picked the F/A18 to be that popular. I suppose a lot of Countries (my own included) have them. We don't have them, then again we have no aircraft carriers. :D It's the mixture that makes it interesting; having a fully articulated aircraft carrier + addon aircraft. F-18 because we already had the SU-33 in LO (though in LoFi) and the AV-8B being primarily a CAS/ light attack AC - which we hopefully get plenty of with the A-10 module. GGTharos
lol those CFTs never come off for flight. It can but they don't fly them that way. I'm aware. Call it my F-15E-Cmod. ;) They come OFF for the A2A role ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Hell, there's even been another whole SERIES of sims about the F-16 alone, up to number 4, and even an -18 series! The DCS F-15C...well, that's the holy grail for me at this point, despite for whatever I might have voted for originally. I'd love an Su-27 or MiG-29. An F-16 is welcome, and an F-18 would be too. But a DCS-level F-15C...that's like virgin territory man! Few seem to have any balls when it comes to doing sims on air to air only birds, not counting WWII, of course. The vbomber pukes always have to be mollycoddled. ;) I can't wait, all of Mower's "weaponeering" except instead of dropping bombs you have 20 barscan searches with all kinds of different search modes and bugging as many bandits as I have missiles on the jet. I'm hoping there's an alternate take-off mode call "zulu barn" that allows you to take off with a cocked jet. Awesome stuff!!! :) EDIT: Nevermind, I voted for the F-15 originally. :D Edited May 20, 2009 by RedTiger

HansRoaming
I originally voted for the F16 but after delving back into LOMAC I think that the F-15E would be a good choice. Possibly with the F15-C thrown into the mix to provide a deep strike with escort package that could be flown in multi player. Am guessing both aircraft could be done in a single release as they share the same airframe a multitude of subsystems and Eagle Dynamics have got something to work on already from the LOMAC days. Sure we'd all love the fighters just coming into service or in the near future but ED won't be able to get the information they need.
Giantsfan24
I think a combo air/ground plane makes the most sense sine it offers the widest possibility of missions. The American planes that would be awesome for this role are the obvious F-16 and the more advanced F/A-18. BUT, and here's the best part, the devs said a new module would be released about every 9 months-1 year. So it's not like it was with Black Shark where we had to wait 5 years from Lock On. GGTharos
You're guessing wrong. The F-15E and C have about as much in common as the F-18E and C. Giantsfan24
I think his point was since they already have alot of the avionics from lock on for the C, it could possiblly be both the C and E versions in one module.

JG-1_Vogel
Harrier FA2 please! I want to go flying with the fleet air arm! How cool would it be to have FRS1/FA2 SHAR's done properly? The harrier has never really had much attention given to it so that would be my idea of simulation heaven. Given the similarities between the FA2 and the GR varients I don't think it would be too hard for ED to release multiple versions. Say an FRS1/FA2 and then maybe a GR5/7? The harrier is a classic British aircraft, and deserves to be developed into a high quality simulation. Saying that, perhaps because its a British invention no one wants to make it? Perfering the same old F-15's and MiG's? If thats the case can we have an AV8B lol?

Chizzy101
I'd like to see a Su-27, or an F-16. A high fidelity F-16 sim (with dynamic campaign) would draw a lot of the Falcon 4 players...although I'm guessing any high fidelity fixed wing sim will draw the falcon crowd. HitchHikingFlatlander
^Looking where is it...... Hello is there anybody in there.............. just nod if you can hear me........... Really hoping to hear something on that soon, it was mentioned in a SimHQ thread that they'd like to do an article on it. But other than that those guys have kept quiet for a while now. I know they're a small team and have other obligations that contributes to a slow progression of the sim. This is high on my list of sims to look out for. http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
