Rikus Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Well, BS will be in shops before this year ends. Then 9 months for A10 and 9 months for Apache, as the said, 9 months per flyable machine. So, when can i be able to pilot a MIG29 or SU27? 2.013 with luck? In very sad :( Greetings
WilkzPolski Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 And lots of unofficial aircrafts... maybe aerosoft?? Keep smiling :) My dreams for DCS or/and next modules: 1. Poland added to country list 2. Su-17(22 - Plolish v.) 3. Turkey, South Osetia, Afganistan Sceneries 4. DX10, 2X Dual Proc compatibility 5. Full dynamic campaigning with no FPS hit :D:joystick::pilotfly:
Boberro Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 (edited) Yep it is very sad, but it must be so long :( Maybe when ED will grow more and more the time will compress to 3 months :D Anyway I don't look for another flyables, the Ka-50 is already too long under produce. Edited August 27, 2008 by Boberro grammar Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Esac_mirmidon Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 We will need so many time to learn how to fly the Ka-50 that nine months are nothing. In a very optimistic point of view my control over the Akula would be considerer " average " not after a year of practice. When the next release touches the ground i will still learning and getting fun with the Ka-50. Take the nine months process like a learning period of each new module, and trust me, you will need more than nine months to master any of the modules. " You must think in russian.." monotwix Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 My suggestion is to by a reliable tedi bear and stick it somewhere safe because the silly bugger won’t fly until it‘s big enough to reach the pedals. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
WilkzPolski Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Hmmm... but not everybody like helicopters (like me) and must wait for something with wings and jet engine. I think that ED should relase one module with 2 aircrafts (A-10 - Su-25; F-15 - Su-27, etc.) with maybe 12 months of waiting. I know that this is imposible now, but maybe soon. When ED will grow just like said it Boberro. My dreams for DCS or/and next modules: 1. Poland added to country list 2. Su-17(22 - Plolish v.) 3. Turkey, South Osetia, Afganistan Sceneries 4. amalahama Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 And lots of unofficial aircrafts... maybe aerosoft?? Keep smiling :) Sorry, DCS isn't Flight Simulator X. I think you didn't understand Wags statement about that theme. Regards!!

deviletk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Yeah its going to take some time for sure. I really want to fly the Apache because of the gunner/pilot thing, and also all the gear onboard like thermal optics etc. Will be very nice to fly with a friend pilot/gunner in missions :) But fact is, i never flew a heli in real life so the awesome Kamov 50 will be my training heli, and i think i will need about 1,5 years something to master it to somewhat adequate level in terms of flying and be able to not keep my eyes on the gauges all the time :) It would be nice with faster coming vehicles but just image all the details that goes into them... One way would to make them all first and release BS when they are done lol, but who would want to wait til 2020 something for that? No one, thats who. :) Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. amalahama Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I'm with Esac, it looks like the kamov will come with a lot of hard work. I have really little free time, so I can't dedicate lots and lots (tends towards infinite really :D ) of hours, and I think a lot of people are in the same situation. Regards!!
d0ppler Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 9 months waiting for next flyable is nothing if we consider the time we (at least I) have waited for Black Shark. I think it was back in late 2004 I started to wait for it to be released. Now after 4 years I might see a light in the tunnel :-) A-10C, AV-8B, Ka-50, F-14B, F-16C, F-5E, F/A-18C, L-39, Mi-8, MiG-21, MiG-29, SA34, Spitfire, Su-27, Su-33, UH-1H
deviletk Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 hehe yeah i remember it was announced for LOMAC and i saw the screens and went WOW! Then nothing happened and BAM, DCS was born and hope went up again :) Right now its agonizing pain everyday waiting for this to be installed in my comp! ;) Regards Alex "Snuffer" D. Esac_mirmidon Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Another thing, what makes you think that jets would be easier to fly than helicopters? XD If (in BeachAVR words) you are only "scraping the surface" with Su-25T AFM and everybody had his own problems trying to fly propperly the gratch, why new jets with an advance flight model in the same level like the Ka-50 would be easier? I guess helis and jets with the DCS standard level would be a solid rock to break, learn and master it. " You must think in russian.." You can let go of everything in an aircraft and it won't just drop out of the sky. You can't really do that in a heli. You probably can with the much larger machines but you take an R22 and let go of everything - well you have an appointment with St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.... The real challenge will be the systems, rather than physically controlling it. IMO anyway... 2 Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
Phantom_Mark Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 Shame we cant have a flyable placeholder SU25T from the last game for a fixed wing fix as part of the BS release, after all the 25T is miles more advanced already than the standard Lomac content and would easily make a bearable placeholder in the company of the more advanced KA50 ?
Duke49th Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I'm so happy that the first two Modules(BS and AH64) will be Helo's and no fixed Wing:) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 49th Black Diamonds - DCS & Falcon BMS Online Squad

Phantom_Mark Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I'm not so sure about that actually, once you've experienced the complexity and realism of the Shark the old flyables will feel quite outdated... Avionics aside I would beg to differ :joystick:
RedTiger Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I'm not so sure about that actually, once you've experienced the complexity and realism of the Shark the old flyables will feel quite outdated... I'd be inclined to agree with that if this first module had some sort of fighter jet. I didn't find the fighters in LOMAC out of date after flying the Su-25T, still didn't find them out-dated by Falcon 4.0, and I'll be surprised if BS makes we swear off them for good.
Pilotasso Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Unhappy with the released info on the jets? :) hit yourself with a wooden bat on the head and then re-read wags post. Youll be as happy as the first time you read it. ;) Make sure you write the URL on a post it before using the bat. :D 1 .
