For those of you that don't get it to work. Uninstall all other mods and try again.
What path have you installed it in? It goes in Saved Games and not the DCS core installation folders.
If it still doesn't work, perform a repair/integrity check.
Post your DCS.log.
Cheers!

Strange, I have it on that same path, like this:

A DCS Repair only fixes issues that are within the DCS main program folder, it won't touch into /Saved Games/  ... if it still doesn't work, post the latest dcs.log as most issues leave a trail within it.

Edit: Note that the folder is "Mods", not "mod"

@Rudel_chw Thanks for noticing.

Dave, one must follow instructions to the letter. The path is incorrect. Correct path is:
Saved Games\DCS\mods\aircraft

Cheers!

Edit: In case you look at Rudel's screenshot. Beware, he purposely has his Saved Games in a different folder.

I see!

Out of curiosity for everyone. Does this mod have dependencies like Flaming Cliffs or the JF-17?

It's so long since I used it.

Cheers!

From your dcs.log:

2025-10-04 18:15:37.782 ERROR   WEAPONSBASE (Main): Failed load descriptor :While loading weapons.missiles.jas_dws39_tv: Inconsistency in scheme: block "autopilot" (JSOW autopilot) has unassigned input q.

2025-10-04 18:15:38.004 ERROR   WEAPONSBASE (Main): Failed load descriptor :While loading weapons.missiles.jas_dws39_arm: Inconsistency in scheme: block "autopilot" (JSOW autopilot) has unassigned input q.

This is the same issue which randomly prevents spawning aircraft carriers in missions and sometimes causes other random strange side effects. It's caused by a change in DCS. I've posted about it previously in this thread.

You can try commenting out (by add the preceding --) to the following lines in <Saved Games>\DCS\Mods\aircraft\JAS39\Weapons\Loadout.lua

--dofile(current_mod_path .. '/Weapons/Loadouts/jas39_dws39_arm.lua')
--dofile(current_mod_path .. '/Weapons/Loadouts/jas39_dws39_tv.lua')

I've also had problems with these other two entries this past year, but the current version of DCS doesn't seem to have a problem with them

--dofile(current_mod_path .. '/Weapons/Loadouts/jas39_a-darter.lua')
--dofile(current_mod_path .. '/Weapons/Loadouts/jas39_mar-1.lua')

I believe this version of the mod still has a dependency on Flaming Cliffs.

There is another version of the mod which is dependent on the JF-17.

The A/A requires FC3 while the A/G uses the SU25T. So Dave should be able to fly the A/G variant.

No luck for me at all. Cannot fly it, only AI flies it.
Only one other mod is installed (A-4E-C).

Did you loaded the other FC jets before ?

i have a training mission wich uses almost all jets i have.. if i first chose the Grippen it wont load the jet.. however if then i select the role for the F.15C and then the SU-33 and jump back to the JAS-39 it loads properly (BVR variant at least)

You dont even need to have the FC jets in the mission.. you just load a mission that has the F-15C (for BVR version) and/or the SU-33 (for the other) .. exit and load the mission with the Grippen without exiting the game.. should work
