Hello,

Im on 2.7

I have a problem with DCS graphics with mirage 2000, indeed, after each first game, all the following ones without exception have a problem of cockpit reflection and color in the cockpit (the metal frames (RWR, PETROL, PPA) become very very clear, and look at the cockpit reflection hud and others)

It's annoying because I always have to quit the game and restart it, I make a game, then I have to quit the game and reopen it to not have the graphic bug anymore

I tried to change ALL the graphic options (ssao, sslr, etc ) it's always the same thing, any idea ?

1) I don't have any mod installed
2) I deleted the DCS WORLD folder to restart the game and recreate another "new" folder
3) I uninstalled my NVIDIA graphics drivers and reinstalled
4) I tried to modify all the game settings in the parameters
5) I launched a repair dcs world beta

It's always the same, I think it's a problem with the update, I think when you do a mission where there is snow, then all your games will be bugged in cockpit reflection

Here is how I play now to avoid the bug

I do a game/mission, I quit the game entirely and I come back to the desktop, I reopen the game and I restart a mission

This is the only way not to have this bug

Sorry for my english, I'm french

Another example

The first picture is the first game launched after opening the game

The second picture is the same game, loaded a second time Look at the difference of light on the HUD, the grey colors on the RWR, PPA, PETROL, and the very clear side of the HUD compared to the first picture

Hi, could you try to delete the metashader and fxo folder of your saved games/dcs word folder ?

I've seen the same thing, workaround is to restart DCS.

It's not a metashader or fxo folder issue but may be a DCS render issue of some sort.

I'm not sure if it's a fresh issue as 2.5.x would sometimes play differently on a 2nd mission/spawn - BUT IIRC the bright HUD collimator reflection is far more noticeable in 2.7 especially at night.

Can't say I've noticed the issue in other modules but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Hello,

I have already tried deleting the fxo etc folders because DCS support asked me to do so. It's always the same, no option in the graphics corrects the problem, I've tried everything

the problem only occurs on the mirage for me

I am happy not to be the only one, it shows that it is not related to my configuration

the problem is so big that I quit the game every time after playing a game

I *suspect* it started last year (have daylight screen shots with a strong HUD collimator reflection) but can't be sure as I haven't flown the Mirage that much a night or in low lighting.

It looks like the cockpit lighting mask is missing in 2nd and subsequent mission runs/spawn in the *same* mission, switching to a different mission reloads the mask.

The Gazelle L's ADI shows the missing mask better than the Mirage

The reflections/lighting in the cockpit are brighter due to the missing mask and unobstructed sky and clouds.

for me it's only since 2.7, before I didn't have this problem of ultra lightening and gray RWR after the first part

no I have not tried to reinstall the module ... I will try

I reverted a small footprint install of 2.7 back to Stable 2.5.6.61527, the Mirage has a similar render issue but it occurs far less often (perhaps after a fxo/metashader clean or graphics setting change).

In 2.5 stable, changes to Gazelle L's ADI reflection are hard to detect due to the rotating blades/shadows.

sincerely it is boring these problems of reflection, I restarted a mission with shift+R and besides the reflections, I have no more HUD...

(the HUD brightness setting in the cockpit is at full)

the mission starts instantly and there, no more HUD

it's the first time I've had this, but honestly, the reflections are not possible anymore... please do something

Sincerely, I can't take it anymore, it's a cry of despair, I can't take it anymore to have to quit the game after only one game, I'm training in air refueling and I have to quit each game, it's unplayable now, I don't understand that the community doesn't complain about this bug, it takes away all the fun of the game

please, tell me that it will be fixed soon, I can't take pleasure anymore because I have to leave each game

You are actually quite lucky, mine crashes every time I load a second mission (and not related to the M2000, does it with every plane). So I need to quit DCS anyway between missions... Never had the chance to see your bug.

Graphics issues at second mission load are a DCS engine bug, not related to the module. On the F-16 sometimes you just have a canopy and no cockpit at reload. I've seen pink F14 cockpit at reload.

If you really want to get rid of it, play the stable version, it should have the clouds by a few months.

Got the reflections issue here too.

Here what I have with v2.7.0 sometimes:

And some other times still with v2.7.0

I used to have the issue prior to v2.7, bellow example with v2.5.6

There is a very similar issue on the F/A 18, look at the cockpit lighting, especially behind the dash sunscreen. This is at first and second load, playing the same trk and taking the screenshot at exact same time.

Why it occurs at different places of the cockpit on various models depends on material properties of the 3D model, but that's not a bug. Why the same scene gets totally different lighting at first and second load definitely is a bug of the 3D engine. This should be reported in main DCS bugs forum.

ok thanks for your answer, you are lucky it's playable on the f18...

I can't stand having to leave the game to reopen everything after each first mission

look at the difference in reflection compared to the f18

Issues happens with ALL planes. 2nd time planes are loaded, reflections corrupted (until you load other plane or terrain).

Anybody has posted THIS in other bug forums?

And it also seem to be TOO DARK inside the cockpit, I mean those things which are in the shadow, seem to be almost invisible because of the darness. For example the buttons for Auto Pilot under that hood shelf, or button and switches on left/right panels, some of then I didn`t even know they are there, until I found them in some video tutorial.

Or at least the labels should be brighter! That goes gor all of them.
