Machalot Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 (edited) Since the 2.7 patch the F6 missile view exits just before warhead detonation. It used to stay on the target so you could watch the explosions and destruction, but now you don't get to watch the fun. Is anyone else seeing this? I can't make a track tonight but will do so at my next opportunity. Edited May 6, 2021 by Machalot 2 "Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."
Exorcet Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Yes, it is broken. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Just as the missile impacts the view will randomly switch to a scrolling F11 view and you won't be able to control the camera, just switch to a different view 1 Awaiting: DCS F-15C Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files
stoop Posted May 11, 2021 Posted May 11, 2021 I concur, I came in to post this bug and saw it had been reported already. Very occasionally it stays on the view for a fraction of a second after impact but mostly the view changes on impact. Really miss seeing the effects of CBUs !!!! 1
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 25, 2021 ED Team Posted May 25, 2021 strange, for me it looks correct, missile hits, view changes then to next missile. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? WinterH Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I have seen this myself, but seemed inconsistent: sometimes camera immediately bugged out when missile impacts, instead of doing the usual zoomed out view showing the explosion and its effects on target. Other times it works as expected. Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script

But this is not the behavior I normally saw before. In the past it would stay on the target so you could see the explosion and resulting damage, rather than switching away immediately. Flappie Posted June 15, 2021 Posted June 15, 2021 I can still reproduce this bug 50% of the time with attached track above. 1 ---
