nscode Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Love the wingmen accent :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
-Skipper- Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) Love the wingmen accent :D Yeah, that's really cool. I also love to see the externals of the wingman. Even for the AI you can almost feel the weight of the helo from the movements and how he turns. Really immersive. PS: Why not a few more notes? Well, I guess we'll be flodded with videos in a few days, but a professional Wags-video about emergency-procedures, a quick overview over editor-usability or multiplayer-setup and stuff would be really appreciated, while us Westerners are waiting for the final. :( Edited October 14, 2008 by -Skipper- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 The next and final video will discuss Game Mode next week. Next week? Sounds gooooooooood. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
swepain Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 wonderful stuff.. pisses me even more off that i cant play it until 09! but really gj though.. thx wags! It takes a fool to remain sane
yeepeekai Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Really good news ! thanks a lot ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] And... Hum... Sorry for my english...
Oakes Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Nice informative video as usual Matt. A question: Regarding the realtime updated position of the wingmen on the Abris, is that "real" or a simulator cheat? i.e. do the KA50's in a wing constantly transmit their positions to each other? /Oakes
sobek Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Regarding the realtime updated position of the wingmen on the Abris, is that "real" or a simulator cheat? i.e. do the KA50's in a wing constantly transmit their positions to each other? Taking the level of realism into account, i'd say that's the real thing. It's not hard to do, all the helicopter's INS operate in the same coordinate system and the amount of data that has to be sent is minimal (depending on refresh rate of course). I don't know whether all flight members get all the positional information of all other flight members, but at least the flight leader has it. As long as all flight members keep their INS properly aligned, the data should be quite accurate as well. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
-Skipper- Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Sounds like a lot of fun in multiplayer-games! :bounce: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sobek Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Ahm wags, i'm not complaining or anything, just trying to sort things out. Wasn't there supposed to be a Producer's Note about the mission editor at one point? Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
Airway Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Another great Producer's note. Thank you for that, Matt  I use them as little tutorials 'till the release of the simulation. Can I hand over more than one target to my wingmen at a time over data link? In the video the wingman was about to rejoin the formation when you handed over a new target to him.
Cosmonaut Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Multiplayer is going to be insane .. Future note to flight leads.. You send me crap waypoints to targets and I'll shoot you down myself. :D .. The next and final video will discuss Game Mode next week. I like the sound of that. The developers journey is coming to an end just as ours is starting. .. Of course that will only last a few days until we start crying for a patch :P Thx for all the hard work. Cozmo. joey45 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 How about sending the info to lead. Nice PN Wags. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. yeepeekai Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Instead of the sending to #2 or #3 or #4, the wingmens can send data to #1 (the leader).... I suppose... The AI will send data automatically. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] And... Hum... Sorry for my english...
Zulu Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 does anyone know why I keep getting "This Video is no longer avaidble" when I try watch it on You Tube? To INVENT an Airplane is Nothing. To BUILD One is Something. But to FLYis EVERYTHING. - Otto Lilienthal [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Evilducky Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 That's what I'm hoping for. A complete video of all the PN because everytime I watch this, I want to fly so much that I cant finish them =P So hopefully when the full game is out for everyone, they have a special edition game that comes with all the producer notes on the second dvd along with some other goodies :).
Boberro Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Thanks Wags ;] Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
