Wind direction in ME is wrong

It is really the only way which makes sense.  There is no confusion or mental maths required if the wind in the METAR/TAF/ATC clearance matches the runway in use.

Maybe the best way to deal with this would be to have a "Wind direction" option in the GAMEPLAY option panel: "Wind from" or "Wind To", just like it's done for distances and speed ("Imperial" or "Metric").

Perhaps, but then there would have to be one credible example of when 'wind to' is ever actually used IRL.  Since the weather and ATC systems are both undergoing an overhaul this would be the perfect time to fix it.

I think we only need to dispaly the correct number in the ME box, and have all stations call the wind as IRL that is to say FROM and not TO. I play since 2014, this is never been corrected, not a big issue, but a sad one IMO.

The Russians. Same with torr for pressure and QFE altimeter settings. Being a Russian company it makes sense that ED went with these formats, but by now with so many high-fidelity modules being Western they should know that we need Western formats.

Fair enough, then make it an option as suggested above along with the metric/imperial option.

I think there should be two editboxes explicitly labeled with "FROM" and "TO". So nobody will be confused. Mission itself can keep value as it does now, so compatibility will not break.

The obvious solution is the use the old method only when the player is using the USSR coalition. Haha, just kidding. It would be wonderful if the wind in the ME (and whatever other places) is changed to the current convention. Thank you @Flappie for requesting it.

Correct aviation winds in the ME would be a very welcome improvement. If you know you're setting up for a mission off runway 27 you type in 270 rather than fiddling with a little arrow.
