I live in the fens one evening a Lancaster flew over Hunstanton think it had been to an air show my camera was in my top box on the bike I said to one of my mates you got to be ***kin me. kidding me.

You could ride around the wash and visit Coningsby Freehand. Think they do hangar tours as well.

East Kirkby too, book yourself a taxi ride in their Lanc if you’re flush .

Bit of a jog for me down in Kent but it’s all that keeps me away, for now. I wanna get up there some day. I’m not complaining, we get plenty of fighters down here all summer.

FWIW, having been a not-totally-useless cadet a trio of minor medical issues sent me to the back of the queue and ultimately cost me a place. I was upset, but it didn't kill me and I went on to find a career at sea which offered many of the same things I wanted...and now I fly gliders for fun instead! It's a funny old world but it's full of all sorts of goodies you only learn about along the way, and you get out what you put it.

We’re gonna have to wait and see which bombs can be used apparently.

There’s only so much a modder can do about the way bombs work and explosions happen unless ED help the team out somehow.

Brains had fixed some broken bombs a little while ago but we don’t know what they were yet. We’ll have to wait for a ‘progress report’

Sorry to answer that old post, but remember the SDK has only access to signed official DCS World 3rd parties.

It was a jest about encouraging ED to take us as a 3rd party I of course know that only 3rd parties get SDK access.

If youre talking about seeing my name and bombs in a patch notes a bit ago, thats a little misleading... all i did was change some values and boilerplate stuff. I dont believe we've ran into any bomb snags yet, although its been a while since i've personally looked at anything bomber related - wrapped up in multicrew rn.

And a multicrew update

Still kinda in the "research and figuring out" stage of multicrew. Different parts of the systems require different styles of syncing, so been working on 'simpler' projects to test my multicrew in the future. Turrets are the focus of my research in multicrew right now... again, plz write your local DCS Forum moderator to let them know that you'd like the Lancaster to be official (i jest (no i dont)).

Its been too long since I posted in here, Finishing up my dissertation for uni in the next few weeks then will be working a whole lot more on the mod. I don't think I've managed to touch anything lancaster related this side of the new year but looking forwards to getting back to it and getting the much awaited turret video made!

For the love of Christ why is this mod not going to be paid for.  I would gladly drop $80 on the Lancaster.  I think the SDK would do this girl some good and really bring our WW2 inventory up to a new standard.  Really looking forward to seeing this in DCS!

I love my props, they’re the grandparents of the air. Good to see them given the love, care and respect they richly deserve here and as I might’ve let on, I can’t wait to get in and fly this. Just hope being spoilt by all those props spinning doesn’t kill my frame rates .

Hopefully one of our friendly forum managers will reach out with some invites soon? Better sooner than later so the tinkering can go in the right direction. I’ve had to bite my tongue in the Ugra thread already as I think it’s criminal to finally be offered Germany but of the wrong era .

Wouldn't be surprised if they continue to expand it, and make a WWII version down the line.

This exactly. Hopefully they have the feature where if the mission is set in the 1940s the lights on the ground turn off...

I really hope they do. A 1943/1944 map would be great. Especially if expanded West across the Netherlands towards the UK. Long range missions.
