Reshade 6.0 gets native support for OpenXr

If i load DCS and have the effect ON before i lauch the server yes they work. But i can not enable/disable them while i am in  server. If i host the server they work

I have mapped Delete button to turn on/off. So you say that is the problem?

The button to turn on the effect, and turn off the effect, works only offline.

Finally had the opportunity to try this out last night - it really does change the VR experience so thanks to all that persevered to get this working and that provided assistance to others.

One thing I noticed is that I can only get the Reshade “Home” menu to appear when on the DCS ‘dashboard’ page ie the main page you see when you log in. So I make changes there and then load into missions. It seems that toggling the effects on and off doesn’t work once in a mission but that’s fine!

Sure, of course. I just followed Bogey Dope's settings that he demonstrates in this video and basically followed them to the tee.

As a side note, I tried completely uninstalling Reshade using Skatezilla's tool (complete clean and repair) to see what the FPS impact was - it is between 3 and 5 fps (for me). Worth it!

Of course, this will help you notice them, but you still need a button so that you can turn off the effect in an online game.

I can’t even get Reshade to open up in flatscreen. I selected DCS.exe from the bin-mt folder, then selected DirectX 10/11/12 and OpenXR. When I open DCS, Reshade does not load. Any help?

What version of Reshade? (Install the version with Addon support as it will make it easier to sync with VR). Did it present a screen for selecting shaders (with a couple selected) during the installation process? Did it create a reshade-shaders folder in your DCS bin-mt dir, as well as a ReShadePresets.ini file? Do you get a ReShade.log file created in the bin-mt dir when DCS loads into the game? Anything in there? Tried hitting the Home button from within DCS to see if the menu comes up?

And probably a stupid question, but you’re definitely running the MT version aye? (Shows the MULTITHREAD PREVIEW text at the bottom of the menu).

The newest version with add-on support. I kept the default shaders selected and it created a reshade-shaders folder in the bin-mit. Also created the .ini file.

I haven't checked for the log yet. I will later today. Home does nothing when I'm in DCS. 

I'm running MT. I usually open DCS from my taskbar so I made sure to open it from the bin-mt file that I selected when I set up Reshade. I did a full clean and repair and I'll reinstall Reshade. Kinda stumped at this point.

Also make sure in addon you check the sync options as started earlier. First time it never worked for me , I uninstalled and reinstalled then  home key worked on flat screen .

Ok. Got it working in my headset. Here's what I noticed....

1. Crashes when Ultraleap is enabled.
2. ReShade does not open in flatscreen for me. Only in the VR mirror.
3. I had to check the box Sync Effect Runtimes for it to take effect in my Crystal.

It works. Finally got it working on my Pimax Crystal a few days ago. 
 

What effects are you all using? I followed Bogey Dope’s video and just used Curves and LumaSharpen but I might disable Luma and switch to the VRToolkit. Thoughts?
