Considering the plans I have for the Campaign right now, the mods will prob be the least disliked part of the project 😛

Either way, I even have a story plotted out. Writing it all down so I can start work once the asset pack is released.

aaaand now we get actual Sweden in a map. Will version 2.0 of the Asset Pack contain Cold War Units or will you just beg ED for your assets to be included from the get go? XD

Yes, this is great!

The swedish assets pack will fit perfect into the kola map……It‘s such a perfect combination the assets pack should be implemented into DCS as an official addition, who knows?

Not at the moment, I'm putting a lot of hours in it and it's progressing pretty fast though. But still a lot of fixes to do.

Currenthill this is incredible. If you release this you will have arguably brought the most high quality ground force content to DCS of any user modification, certainly alongside HighDigitSam mod. I'm looking forward to playing around with your work!

Comparisons are kind of unfair .. I have enjoyed similar content created by a lot of Developers, like the Frenchpack, Airport Services Vehicles, Civilian Assets Pack, and SAM Sites Assets Pack, all of them enhance DCS on significant ways.

Haha, thanks. There's no need to compare mods. I'm just happy there are many creators that has put hundreds of hours into stuff we can all enjoy, and learn from. 👍🏻

Hey guys!

Thanks for your interest in the mod. Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been working hard with improvements all around. Stuff like:

  • Added the correct specifications per vehicle, engine rpms, gears, engine sounds etc.
  • Added working tracks for the tracked vehicles (Bv 410, Bv 410/RBS 90, Bv 410/RBS 70, Strf 9040 and Lvkv 9040)
  • Updated the Swedish soldier textures (more accurate M/90 pattern, face paint etc)
  • Added the Swedish soldier in vehicles (with movement when turning etc)
  • Added animation for the Swedish soldier with the RBS 70
  • Updated all models for optimization, removing millions of polygons to spare your GPUs (the models are still very heavy though, be warned!)
  • Added destroyed-models per asset
  • Added specific size and placement of explosion och fire when an asset is destroyed
  • Added realistic deployment animations where applicable
  • Added correct dependencies for RBS 70 (need UndE 23 to operate) and RBS 90 (will operate at best with UndE 23, but will operate stand-alone with PS-91)
  • Updated the mobile versions of the RBS 70 and RBS 90 to deploy their respective weapon system in steps  (and not instantaneous).

Still work to do, but I'm getting closer to a first release version.

Hey guys!

I got a little tired of fixing stuff and making the 3d models lighter so I put together a little easter egg yesterday. It's the Swedish prototype MBT Strv 2000 T140/40 with a massive 140 mm main cannon and a side mounted 40 mm autocannon. The project was eventually shut down and Sweden chose the Leopard MBT. Consider this a what-if scenario, just for the fun of it. 

Well, it gave me new energy to continue the work... 😅

I also updated the one-pagers on the initial post with the updated and new assets.

first of all thanks for working on these great mods! Very much appreciated! 🙂

Would you see a chance for creation of two aircraft mods (AI only of course)  based on swedish developments? I would really like to have them in the game (especially when the Kola map arrives).

These are: Saab Swordfish MPA (https://www.saab.com/newsroom/press-releases/2018/swordfish-redefines-tomorrows-maritime-patrol-aircraft & https://youtu.be/U0UcKYgjNIw) and Saab Globaleye AEW&C (https://www.saab.com/products/globaleye & https://youtu.be/hcL9DgEe5lQ). Both are based on Bombardier Global 6000.
