Rangi
1st RAAF F35 Anyone understand how the first one was shipped? Is this some sort of function of training, so the crews there learn how to coat the aircraft, or is there something I am missing? Tthis was just a stock photo of the first AU F-35 as that photo was released a couple of weeks ago. They have painted it by now and it's going to the pooled training centre at Luke AFB. http://australianaviation.com.au/2014/07/f-35-rollout-highlights-raafs-greatest-opportunity-for-evolutionary-change/ PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor. ED Team NineLine Posted August 15, 2014 ED Team Share Posted August 15, 2014 Nice post Sith, AF-02 flies more than anyone else here. She looks beat up, but still gets the job done. That's good to hear when people question the 35's toughness :) Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

topol-m
Great looking aircraft, looks even more like a spaceship than the F-22. Can't wait to see one in the flesh here in Australia. Looks like an overweight sparrow compared to the F-22, while the Raptor truly deserves its nickname. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
WRAITH
Lockheed Martin F-35 Development Great looking aircraft, looks even more like a spaceship than the F-22. Can't wait to see one in the flesh here in Australia. Hey all, I have always supported the F-22 Raptor and the JSF F-35's as they improve they get better, it goes to say that has been true for all fighters in its development life cycle. For RAAF F-35 news follow this link............. http://www.f35evolution.com.au/  :alien: This is as close to the real thing I will get......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1KMeOpoVNI :D Cheers,
ericoh
Of course they get better, how else could you justify the billions that went into them. You could make a turd better with that funding. :D

mvsgas
I think F-22 can carry 8 SDBs + 2 Aim-120s + 2 Aim-9 in side bays. At least the pictures i`ve seen of the LAU-142/A amraam vertical eject launcher suggest so. Compared to F-35`s 4 SDBs + 2 Aim-120s it`s a lot more ;) I don`t see how F-35 can carry 8 SDBs and 2 AAMs in smaller bays with fewer hardpoints - let`s face it F-22 has 8 internal hardpoints, F-35 has 4. http://www.codeonemagazine.com/images/media/2013_F35_FTU_12_1023_SDB_13J00514_01_1267828237_8008.jpg http://www.arnold.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/071113-F-9114G-001.JPG http://www.ainonline.com/sites/default/files/uploads/573raytheon-sdb-ii-pic-1.jpg Edited September 24, 2014 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.
