Would be Nice to have a New African Map for the Mirage F1

I may be dreaming but it would be nice if we could have in the futur an african map, more specifically a map in TCHAD as the french used their mirage F1 during operation Manta in 1983 in TCHAD against Libya Rebels. Those F1CR mirage stayed over 30 years doing missions in TCHAD.

As far as I know, the announced Sinay Penninsula map will contain a part of Africa, mainly eastern Egypt, including cities of Cairo, Alexandria or Gisa. I would be pleased of Southern Africa map.

Morocco/Algeria/Southern Spain would be great map  Morocco has some great terrain to fly in, the Rif & atlas mountains lots of coastline and the Sahara desert.  Not to mention most of the planes we already have in game, F-16, F1, F-5, AH-64, Gazelle, Mi-24, Mi-8, F/A-18,  Eurofighter & Mig-17 coming soon Just need some full fidelity planes for the Algerian air force, If you go back in time a bit they did have Mig-21 & Mig-23

new Map idea, location USA, Mirage F1 vs F-35, match will be ferous between the old warriors and the youngs from top gun, that will be interessting

Fort Worth  will provide adversary air training to pilots at Luke, Holloman, and Eglin air force bases

The US Gulf of Mexico has all kinds of potential for a DCS map. It has plenty of military bases, plenty of ocean, plenty of bombing ranges, and Cuba not too far off. All kinds of fictional scenarios could be run there. 

As I recall Janes had that area back in the day

You have real training bases and you can use any of the uprisings for campaigns, frente Polisario and Western Sahara. Part Africa, part Spain, win win scenario...

 

I chose the specific area because its also really low on density of population.. only bummer: more dessert LOL....

If we doing western Sahara you have to go down to Nouadhibou, and include Zouérat, it would be shame to miss out of northern morocco and southern Spain its such a beautiful terrain to fly over, but morocco is to big include all of it.

Give it time.  With the seemingly ramped up announcements of new maps lately I would not discount the possibility of an African map coming down the pipe sometime in the future.

It comes down to someone making exceptionally interesting missions for the theater. Without missions even places like Falklands are mehh.  And I can't say I'm itching to fly in Africa.

Yeah honestly this is the map I'd want most in DCS. Hell you kill 2 birds with one stone by adding the northern bit of saudi to it for DS91, 2003, and the iran iraq war. Maybe run it as far north as Amarah to keep the map size reasonable.

I remember Old Aviodev (Now Aernes), talk about build a Spanish peninsula to Canary island map, but never was confirm. They need build a Map team and a Assets team to build something big as them.
