JagHond Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) You are right here, mate, I too have read those same ... so someone would be better to wish long and health life to us both. With best regards. Edited September 21, 2022 by JagHond 2
sirrah Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 So, if I understood correctly, a "small" area will overlap the Syria map from Ugra. Perhaps this was already discussed somewhere, but I sure hope that OnReTech is in contact/consultation with Ugra about this area. Imho, it would be a total waste of time and resources (money) if this area was completely designed from scratch by OnReTech. Imagine: Flying to Ramat David (Sinai map). Then start the next mission in your campaign from Ramat David (Syria map) and the environment suddenly looks completely different (apart from maybe the airfield layout) 5 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

Yes obviously, in terms of less re-work, that would be ideal 3 System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
Koriel Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I love the scope of this map. I know the PG and Syria map have some nice archaeological features. This map has Masada!. I wonder how it will look in the map with the lift and the remnants of the Roman camps. 8
A2597 Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 First off, you are bringing a favorite area back to flight sims, thanks to hundreds of hours in F-22 ADF by DID back in the 90s! Looking forward to seeing it with modern tech! As for a request...and I have no idea if this is a map makers possibility... But can you make the oil / petroleum storage tanks at the actually explode?
Silver_Dragon Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 By Spudknocker, can get a similar size to Ugra Media Syria map. 1 For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

winghunter Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 (edited) Coordinates of released maps are exported straight from DCS. Caucasus is one of the largest maps ( even though its mostly low detail area). Note that in this Mercator projection, land masses towards north and south pole appear bigger than they are. Hence Kola and SA maps also appearing larger.
