I am pretty sure they don't say much prior to releases but there should be some nuggets thrown to us just prior to it's release.

Why do you assume there is a patch? I haven't heard mention of one. There doesn't seem to many pressing things that need fixing.

another post somewhere mentioned an ongoing patch. What surprised me was EB's advice in the thread above. It would be nice to get some clarification in regard to missions.

 

The sim plays great now, I agree.

They have mentioned in one of the trim threads that they're changing trimming in the next patch. Which also confirms that there is a patch in the making :)

 

But yes, I haven't found much wrong in DCS yet, so no urgent need for a patch for me at the moment :)

Addressing the tendency of wingmen to crash into your helicopter would be a good one. I'd seen other people mention this, but never had it happen to me...

 

...until today.

 

I've flown the "Coda" mission from the Deployment campaign three times and on all three occasions an instruction to "Attack Datalinked Target" from a stable hover has resulted in my wingman turning straight into me and knocking me out of the sky.

 

Very frustrating. :(

Addressing the tendency of wingmen to crash into your helicopter would be a good one. I'd seen other people mention this, but never had it happen to me...

 

...until today.

 

I've flown the "Coda" mission from the Deployment campaign three times and on all three occasions an instruction to "Attack Datalinked Target" from a stable hover has resulted in my wingman turning straight into me and knocking me out of the sky.

 

Very frustrating. :(

 

I have had an AI wingman collisions, but admit, one was my fault as I should have looked out for my AI Wingamn in a turn..

The buzzing wingman annoyed me from early on--I mapped pincer right to my ch throttle, that keeps him well away.

 

PS "Missions and campaigns made in version 1.00 will work in 1.01.

There's "Always" material that did not make the cutoff for the release package. First patches tend to focus on stability issues primarily and then any high priority items that were not ready for release..but only if they don't interfere with stability...

 

This game is pretty solid right out of the gate and many of the "bugs" I have experienced and seen posts about were actually peopl elike me who didn't take the time to read and didn't realize what was happening was supposed to happ :)

I saw mention that the mission editor was gonna receive the most attention. There are quite a few limitations that they are looking at addressing, even as they released 1.0.

i read something about the "deactivation"-trigger for the ME, which is already coded and will be in the next "patch/module".

 

hopefully they also manage to fix all the other triggers, so they work for MP missions :)

well im hopeing that the patch will fix the laser issue that many of us are having . the sooner ,, the better . its very frustrating , to say , the least .

apart from that ,, for me ,, all is great .

What about fixing the 30 mm AP rounds, they are next to useless next to the HE rounds for attacking APCs and armoured vehicles. :cry:

Useless? Have you tried to fire the canon vs personnel, buildings, vehicles or even aircrafts?

I've never had my AI wingmen crash into me but there was an instance where I ordered them back to base and they decided to land on the same helipad at the FARP. All of a sudden I got two panicked "Ejecting" messages from them while their helis melted together on the pad.

Guys... it's a new trimmer option... the one in V1.00 will still be available but another option will be added in v1.01... details at a later date.

The things I would fix/add in a DCS:BS patch:

 

1. Clickable cockpit zone for cockpit door

2. Clickable throttle controls

3. Cockpit lighting brightness knobs that work (instead of on/off)

4. A difficulty option to start either cold 20 minutes before take off or as current

5. Rework the radio>>formation page to match what the manual describes

6. Model a keystroke command for the neutral position of the Decent/Route autopilot switch

7. Fix the need to press Esc twice when starting a mission or switching views to get mouse view control back

8. A proper flight briefing environment like F4.0

9. Hybrid trimming system with an option that allows a force-feedback joystick but regular pedals

10. Network GUI menu resolution setting

I could go on...
