Was wondering about that too and if folks got the map for free... but Normandy 1944 got a big update too. Hence the big update i guess.

I use the Miles saved and so technically, I get it for free. If not, I need to pay 10 US bucks.

Make sure you are logged into your account and it will see if you own Normandy 1.0 and/or Channel.

for you it's probably an Upgrade, did you try launching it?

you definitely have N2 now.

With N1 you couldn't see London or Paris...

It certainly looks like you have the new map. 
 

I know Odiham which you have showing their is one of the new airfields that comes with 2.0

I guess if Dover cliff on the Normandy map is not white, it is very likely you are having the old version. I have not used this map a lot, but this is an outstanding feature / difference from the Channel map, which also I did not use a lot.

Surely that though is the upgraded version of 1944 as the original is being expanded in size too, just with less detail.  Looks to me like its running the 44

That’s just gonna confuse the issue further. If that’s the case then I honestly have no idea. 
 

there are simmers saying they are running 2.0 but have the normal Normandy icon, if the map is now the same for both then how on earth are we meant to tell, which version we have.

I figured the new airfields and locations on the map would give the game away, wasn’t aware they were Expanding the original as well.

- Normandy 2 low resolution = you get this for FREE without buying anything, i.e. you get Lon/Paris with blocky textures

- Normandy 2 High Resolution = you get this when you buy the Normandy 2 Upgrade

That's how it's supposed to work. Supposed to work. Whether it's actually working like that right now?.. that's what i'm not so sure about..

I was really confused by this too. Was wondering why my beta update was 47GB (got Normandy 1944) before 2.0 even was available on the shop. When i went to the store, it said i own a license fo 2.0. First thought was they messed up and i got it for free.

Checked my licenses on the DCS page and at the date back when i bought Normandy 1944, it said "Normandy 2.0". When i checked ingame, the Normandy map i had had Paris and London. Already wrote a PN to BN about the "issue" when i realized they gave extra (low detail) stuff to the 1944 owners for free (and deleted the PN). Looks all good and legit after all.

Think all this could have been better communicated in the changelog, especially how you get that "you already own this" on the checkout since they used this probably as a workaround for the discount.

yup, understood, thank you for the comment.

I think the current issue is with players who bought N2 upgrade but still see it in low detail. I believe it's due to licensing that hasn't been transferred/migrated correctly.

Yeah, just edited my first part while you replied - i misread. I too have "Normandy 2.0" in my modules manager in game while other still have the 1944.
