Many Game crashes in multiplayer since DCS 2.8

All of our players are reporting many DCS crashes since the patch. I get crashes every 5 min of joining a server.

Same here, multiplayer load screen, I crash and a few of my students - thought it useful to know. I've repaired (quick) and still get it but Instant Action is fine.

Same here. Made 3-4 slow repairs  no luck.

I'm getting CTD unable to link a report as the mouse becomes unfocused and will not click on the report to send.

Can you share the exact steps you used to solve this please and thank you. Might help others.

Normandy -> P-47 -> Airfield attack. 

Two attempts - two crashes. It happens during train attack (train is going close to airfield)

P.S. Sorry, it's not a multipleer, but crash... 

P.P.S. Siria -> P-47 -> Free Flight: train attack provides the same result

Server admins can try adding this...

["require_pure_scripts"] = false

in your serversettings.lua file it might help for now as it has helped a few others

It should be false by default, as stated in the changelog

It seems to not be added to the serverSettings.lua by default. But yes, I would expect it to be still false then.

It's just that setting that explicitely seemed to have fixed issues on 4YA, that's why Aunty suggested it. We're still trying to replicate it, no joy until now.

Same, consistent crashes flying online since 2.8.
Seems to happen when I do stuff like zoom in and out on F10 map, switch to different plane external views.

Last gasp for me to 2.8 working in SP

Do a repair and clean

Remove any MODs

Hope for best

It sounds to me like a MOD conflict hence the crashing I think

Honestly Operator Error on my part

I figured it out the hard way

The Mod makers have not yet updated their Mods to DCS 2.8

Because of that you get a Mod Conflict and DCS Crashes

Do what BIGNEWY said a year ago to load update and prevent crashes

To play DCS 2.8 I had to remove all Mods, do a repair and clean and then load the update

Til the updated Mods you have legacy DCS for now if you want 2.8

I slowly added Mods to see which are compatible to DCS 2.8

So Far Grinelli's F-22Mod is compatible

JAS 39 Community JAS 39 Mod is compatible

Cuesta Bros Rafale Evolution Mod is compatible

Tommorow If I feel brave Cowboy's E-7 and P-8 Mod

and the Su-30

I think VSN is not compatible right now

VSN F-35, Currenthill Swedsh Assets, J-20X are compatible with DCS 2.8

After 9 Mods see a pattern, if mod is self contained (its own folder) in Saved Games DCS 2.8 will not crash 

If mod is in core swaps F-16, F-18 or JF-17 it will crash

I know Chiller's CJS Hornet, IDF Mods SUFA, and J-10A Community Mod swap legacy F/A-18C Lot 20, F-16CM50, and JF-17

DCS 2.8 will not let you do that Mod and crashes because some files are named the same

We should get a (last known good) LKG_ release version for BETA channel so we can roll back. 

Both Steam and ED Store versions
