Trigati Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Thanks, don’t waste your time on it for now, I’ll re-run a couple of times and see if any of the F14 launch. If they still dont I’ll run through a repair etc and let you know. Thanks for taking time to check and fingers crossed it’s just my end.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I then tried it myself and all appeared to work just fine, all F-14 cleared the cats and took of normally. I will try once more, but I cannot seem to duplicate. I'd say maybe try it again? It could be a one-off thing. Must be a mod thing? coincidentally I played that mission today, no issues. Another great mission though, this campaign is very high quality. Should not be free!
Trigati Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Ok, sorted. Seems like my GroundCrew.lua was broken and needed to be repaired.Sorry for having taken your time up.And thanks again for the campaign!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2

LordOrion Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) Hi @Sedlo, just completed mission 5: Rescue and: Spoiler The weapon loadout seems a little weird: is it the correct one? Apart for the JDAM bomb, (which is needed for the building to be destroyed at the begin) we have 2 AGM-65s and one GBU-12 to be used against one moving convoy. IMHO not the best choice for moving units, (or at least not the choice I whould have made)... If it is correct, is there a specific reason for that? I have blown up the entire convoy with that loadout (with a couple of gun strafe runs) and the combined effort of my wingman and other units so this is not an actual problem, I'm just curious about the "reason why" behind the loadout choice. Sedlo Posted December 30, 2023 Author Posted December 30, 2023 Hey, LordOnion! Spoiler It's a fairly common CAS loadout for carrier ops. IRL CAS ops off carriers were pretty much limited to such loadouts (one item per station) with double ugly configs (tanks on the belly and one wing station) quite common. There will also be a couple more missions in the future in where the carrier itself starts to run low on certain munitions, so the non-smart weapons might not be available. Spoiler It's not also critical to destroy every vehicle in the convoy, but just to hamper it from reaching their objective. In terms of the mission, one or two strikes against it is all that it should delay them enough for the rescue helos to get in and out. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

Make sense... and I like it Edited December 30, 2023 by LordOrion 1 RDF 3rd Fighter Squadron - "Black Knights": "Ar Cavajere Nero nun je devi cacà er cazzo!" Silver_100 Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Hi, really looking forward to this one based upon your previous campaigns. I have tried mission 1 twice. On the deck ready to taxi, switch comms to L 20, get instruction to push L4. Select L4.Then nothing happens. No further comms. I waited, tried taxiing and launching but then no further comms - I assume something hasn't been triggered. Do I need to be more patient and wait for a taxi to catapult instruction? If so, how long? Just to note - in the aircraft Comm 1 channel 4 is assigned to 248.5, but in the kneeboard it says it should be 348.5. Is that the problem? Thanks for the help.
Sedlo Posted December 31, 2023 Author Posted December 31, 2023 @Silver_100did you fly the Case I departure? Fly BRC at 500ft, 300knots? Around the 7 mile mark stuff will happen. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

Around the 7 mile mark stuff will happen. Hi, yes. Although maybe 280 knots. Wil try again at 300. Should I have had a taxi instruction? Or is first comms on L4 after the Case 1 departure? 1
Sedlo Posted December 31, 2023 Author Posted December 31, 2023 @Silver_100no taxi instructions, after you get your brief on Ch. 20 Left, you'll be instructed to tune to 4L. Once there you'll get a voice over briefing the Case I departure and text instructions to taxi to Cat 3 or 4. Take off, fly BRC for 7 miles and you'll hear a voice over saying push 13 left. Also, make sure you DO NOT have Easy Comms on. That could screw things up. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS
Jlovemark Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 @Sedlo beauty of a campaign! My first campaign ever and I’m sure just a dumb rookie question. When I push a channel for comms and it tells me to use the normal DCS way to contact mother/Tanker I can’t get the DCS radio to pop up. DCS radio worked on the boat etc. No mods. Easy comms off. What am I doing wrong?
rob10 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 What binding are you using to attempt to get radio menu? The default "\" (communications menu) that will work on ground doesn't work in the air with easy comm's off. You need to use the "COMM Switch - COMM 1" and "COMM Switch - COMM 2" bindings. 1
Jlovemark Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 @rob10 thank you for the quick reply. Yes just the default comms button. I have it set as ‘ from the MSFS days. Old habit. I’ll bind comms 1 and 2 for ctrl-1 and ctrl-2. And just to be clear, when I want to contact tanker I’ll press Comms-1? I’m sorry. I’m new to the non-easy comms
Jlovemark Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 @Sedlo disregard. @rob10 helped me out. Thank you. Watched YouTube video as well so I understand the mixup.
rob10 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 You can use Comm 1 or 2, just depends which you have tuned to the correct frequency. Most campaigns will have tanker etc set up as a preset, in which case see which radio has preset for it. Alternatively you can set either radio to M (manual) and enter the frequency via the UFC or even just enter it over an existing preset (which obviously could cause you some difficulties ). So for example, looking at the briefing for Mission 1, the tanker should be on 249.6, so you want to set the preset for Comm 2 to 15. It's always worth checking that the appropriate frequency comes up after you change to the preset (so in this case your UFC display should say 249.6) because it's really easy to mess up entering those in the mission editor so sometimes they are wrong. Once you've set Comm 2, preset 15 you should use the "COMM Switch - COMM 2" button to pull up the menu. As a side note, you can use either Comm 1 or 2 binding for all the stuff you used to use the "\" key for too (i.e. contact ground crew etc). Not realizing there are different binding is very common for people coming from Easy Comm's so don't feel bad for not realizing that. Feel free to ask more questions if you still have issues.
Jlovemark Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 @rob10 Awesome. Thanks for the reply and further explanation. Now the most difficult thing is using the trackpad on my laptop to scroll comms Travel a lot for work so laptop when I’m on the road. Probably should buy a mouse. Have a good one 1
rob10 Posted February 2, 2024 Posted February 2, 2024 Mouse is likely the easy option (personally I like a trackball mouse because then you don't have to physically move it, it stays in one place -- but it is less compact than some mice you may get). A less perfect option that might still make more sense while you don't have a mouse is to just use the UFC to manually enter the freq rather than scrolling preset.
Sedlo Posted February 3, 2024 Author Posted February 3, 2024 Hey Folks! @rob10thank you for helping out! And @JlovemarkI hope you enjoy the campaign! 2 My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

flyingtom Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Very nice campaign !! Unfortunatly stuck on mission 13 . DCS crashed twice on my way back to the ship (a bit frustrating when you managed to stay alive until then ) . You will find the log here attached . I loved the variety of situations , particularly the technical emergency (it reminded me my sim training on Airbus ) CRASHdcs.log 1
