I checked @Rudel_chw pdf , yes, correct, looks like ED models (I'm surprised that they also added something of their own because it wasn't there before), I dont see it on Rudel's pdf. I corrected the info. Thx!

So as a mission designer, my only "we need" that I'll post here.

Blue unarmed vehicles, things that spec ops might be driving around Afghanistan, Toyota pickup etc.

So far though, I'm loving having access to these assets. Game changer.

I have the update installed but the asset pack is not showing. All of the static items are the same as before. It is not listed in the main screen at startup like the other asset packs.

Because it's not some official asset pack to have its own icon. It's just a pack of static objects and AI units that was added to the DCS core. Run ME and check objects list, ex. fortifications. Look for names starting with M92. If you have previosly added mods - remove them and check again.

I have issues where the sandbag fortification (i.e. M92 Sandbag 17) render any units placed there invisible to the opposing sides AI. This creates issues where the unit placed to be surrounded by sandbags, even with the turret exposed, enemy units will not engage. Is there a way to resolve this issue or is it an issue with the way the AI interacts with colliders? I can set up a quick example mission if needed.

What do you mean by "showing". If you mean an Icon on DCS's main screen, then indeed, there is none. The objects have been moved to the core. You have full access in Mission Edittor to all objects (IIRC their names all begin with "MS") without having to install the Mod. And there is no Icon at the main DCS screen.

Try this, on the Mission Editor:

On the left tool bar select "Add Static Object", then on the right pane select Category: Structures

Now scroll on the TYPE list, all the statics that begin with M92 are part of this Assets Pack.

 

To use the driveable units, on the left tool bar select "Ground Units", make sure to have the historic filter OFF (the clock thingy on the bottom status bar) as ED has not yet added a historic entry for these Assets. Then on the right pane select Category: unarmed, SubCategory: "Support & Logistics", Now scroll on the TYPE list, all the vehicles that begin with M92 are part of this Assets Pack.

 

Note that you need Combined Arms in order to drive these vehicles.

This is great news.  Thank you, Massun92.  

Will these new models all be military or might we get some civilian/insurgent types here too?  With some of the new modules and maps, DCS is crying out for static/AI units that can play the role of civilian/terrorist/extremist for those ambiguous settings.  Hoping you're considering such an addition.

Is there a way to make the shelter's usable? If i put the shelter over a parking space and then place an aircraft in that slot it spawns in another parking spot that doesn't have the shelter on it. I'm guessing it's a collision thing or something as I haven't tried driving a plane into one yet.

It is not a collision, as I can spawn there if i use the option "start from ground", like this:

so, it is most likely a quirk of DCS spawn logic. Sadly, take off from ground cant be used with AI aircrafts, so this remains just a workaround.

Ah, I didn't think of that. Thanks, I'm guessing it has to do with DCS forcing you to spawn somewhere else so you don't explode. Same logic they used on the carrier's it seems. NP this will work but yea AI won't work that's true.

Guys does anyone has the latest version (i believe it was 3.0) before it went as part of DCS "saved" anywhere.?

I am asking because i want to use this base for template https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3331156/ and despite the fact that all the other mods are ok the ones from Massun92 pack although that are part of DCS are not shown.

Any ideas on that?

I have not really tested it, but I understand that the new built-in assets should be compatible with the stand-alone mod and should show up. But just in case, here is v3.0 of the stand-alone Mod which I have on my stash:

Just tested it and it seems that the DCS built-in M92 objects take precedence over those of the old v3.0 Mod, the new structures appear on the ME lists, prefixed with "M92 ", but the old structures (prefixed with M92_") do not show up. Your Template does not load the new structures either:

I see the same in the mission so the template works but the objects from Massun don't..

dont problem with the link for my side. About the elements that do not appears, maybe its needed a change in the names of the entry.lua to make it load in the game. When I setup the Massun92´s "humans" I needed to change the name for that reason.

Not sure that would be enough, as the mission files identify each static object by both its "Name" and "ShapeName" attributes 😞 

Anyway, it is still a great and valuable addition to the Sim and I'm making use of these assets on all my new Kola map missions, and I will update my older Static Templates on a "as-needed" basis .. the most useful items for me are the lighting equipment, like this:

Just checked my old static templates from South Atlantic where I used v2.3 assets and they are not loading on my end as well when I open .miz files. I've just did some troubleshooting but it seems that there must be something else other than the "Name", "Shape Name" etc.

This is the part of the structure of the stm file with the "core" asset:

Even if I change the parameters like "Shape Name", "Type", "Name" in the v2.3 static template, the "core" Massun assets won't show up in place of the v2.3 ones.
