Hello,

the last couple of weeks ive flowen the UH 1 a lot... and i noticed that the graphics are not up to date and the crew could be substantially overhauled.

I thought about crew coms when the door gunner pick something up etc...

And i still want to see the flechette rockets with the orange smoke when they explode.

The Uh1 would definitely benefit from new Graphics Lightning and shadows...

Hope this catches EDs eyes and they work on that...

Thanks

Agree with above, especially crew communications, plus, come on ED, lets be able to see the troops in the back and see them embark and disembark.

I think helicopter operations have so much untapped potential that ED could explore to drive sales and improve customer experience.

Happy landings,

Talisman

Considering how outdated this module is, still the simplest and most widely used module of ED on MP servers nowadays. Definitely deserves some love from ED.

Garry Owen.

Agreed, bought the Huey this month and was very disappointed with the low res models and ancient VO.  +1

Its awesome to fly and i can overlook the textures but i think it needs a upgrade soon

For SkYwAIK3R :a real pilot in my flight group told me that the Huey is the most well-implemented helicopter in DCS especially as a flight, although he admitted that it could use a robust refresh ! Hello !

UH1H v2 like the KA50 or A10 upgrade (or another variant of the UH-1) would both be an instant-by for me! It's the one aircraft I love booting up DCS for in VR - even for just 10 mins to go for a short flight.

The Spitfire cockpit got a re-bake.....I've also been hoping the Huey can get a spring clean, it's a great machine.

I also don't mind paying for a V2, I understand that these things take resources. And ED has to forge a long term maintenance plan for these things, we have iconic aircraft that are going to need to evolve with the product, so....pretty much along the lines of the KA50 and A10, yeah.

Old post but this is a much needed update. UH1 is a classic and it's really fun to play, like driving and doing maintenance of a 60 year old car.
But interior is pretty outdated in details and textures and that hits the inmersion factor in VR.

Yes, Huey needs some love.  Still the best DCS aircraft ever, but needs and very much deserves an update.  Come on DCS, you know it makes sense.

Happy landings,

Talisman

No, MI 8 is the best module ever, but Huey is a good no. 2

I want both of them getting some love and I want another more modern version of both.

I agree om this. I do understand your other point of view. I do really enjoy it. But campaigns for the Hip is so much better and I tend to use it more.

Same. But I think it's going to be a long time for that to happen.

The Huey could do with freshening up, it’s iconic and deserves it.

Having troops would be great too. Whether they were in the back ready to deploy or on the deck wounded and waiting for us to pick em up, they’d bring a bit of life to flying choppers. Chinook’s on its way, we could really do with better heli-ops using troop and vehicle movements.

I want to fly in under fire, pick up a stretcher case and troops and hop it.

The new CH-47 is the F-version and has never flown in NAM and I will get it when they discount it by 50 per cent. It's all right !

I would also like to see a 2nd edition of the Huey and of course the Mi-8. The updated versions can cost a bit, but that's not the problem.

The problem is that once you have a certain number of modules that you are very fond of, it becomes difficult to remember everything.

I would rather see the old modules that you have spent countless hours learning brought up to date.

Wondering if your username is on account of this? 😄

I jump in and out of too many different things and regularly take off without a refresher. Better to check cold and on the ground but that’d be easy. No, I take off then go scrabbling around looking for a trimmer or something. All the joys. :pilotfly:
