Hey CH,

The new 2.9 update has added new logic for the SM-2 that allows it to retarget mid flight, I have attached a video below showing it in action. Will they apply to the missiles on your US navy ships as well as the patriot which has the same ability?

But was this problem also there before the last update? Is it possible that there are such serious bugs in this game?🙁

No fixes for the cruise missile issues with the latest 2.9 patch. 😞

Let's hope they're working on it for the next one...

Hi all,

I fixed the cruise missile issue (from mod's side). Will post in a few minutes

For example open 9M729_missile.lua from Iskander Mod

find turn_hor_N                         = 0.8 and change value to 0.0.

Why does a missile need to turn on its route? Let's deprive of this opportunity. The missile corrects its direction a couple of kilometers before the target, the trajectory looks great and smooth.

Great find, but I'm going to hold off any updates until ED fixes the root cause. 👍🏻

Good evening CH,

Still blown away by the level of detail and quality that goes into your mods. Here banging the Royal Navy drum again, alongside any possible River class patrol vessels that may be possible, do you envision possibly creating a Type 31 general purpose frigate that the RN will be bringing into commission over the next few years to complement the Type 26?

In the meantime I'll keep eagerly checking your website for the next treat you've dropped for us.

Many thanks.

I'm excited - also, seeing as the MTVR truck is in use by 4 other countries, might you be open to making a standalone MTVR truck, as well as a static M777 artillery emplacement?  I can't think of a whole lot of militaries other than the USMC that use the M777 artillery piece and MTVR trucks together in this capacity.

@currenthill you have once again met a missing need in DCS.  Having towed guns is realistic and I've wondered if DCS thinks the only kind of artillery is self-propelled!

But can you plz:

a) Make a desert livery?

b) Make the MTVR a stand-alone truck also plz?

Many thanks!

1000x Thanks ..... more like this 🙂

Is the towing process automated via ME or it can be triggered by the CA user in vehicle as well?

Or is related to Red/Green/Auto status? 🙂

I plan to also include a stationary M777 unit. I might add the MTVR as a standalone since it's already in the pack, it's very little extra work.

I need to disagree here. Too fast deploy for a towed howitzer. All that is probably 5 time slower…

Haha, are you under the impression that setting the deployment speed is the complex part of the creation? It would take me a second to add a 2 hour deployment time. But in general, most weapon systems in DCS have a sped up deployment/engagement process. I usually try to balance it between realism, gameplay and relation to other similar DCS assets.

I started including desert liveries to my assets a while back and plan to do the same for this one.

It has to be a lot of smoke and mirrors since ED doesn't have native support for this. I use the Red/Green alarm status to release and deploy the howitzer. That is also why I have to put it in front of the truck instead of having it behind, I have to trick DCS to do stuff it isn't suppose to do.

Thank you CH, I love the M777. You can't please everyone!

Absolutely, I also keep a banner at the top of my site's front page with all known issues. I'm monitoring the progress of bug fixing closely and will report when the issues have been fixed.

Im not sure if this is just for CH's models but if i add a template that i made and have them move position(like an s-350 battery for example) they really dont like going back into the same formation

Core models do just fine

in some cases the primary unit in the group stops and the rest starts to jitter

seems like the inaccurate formation is caused by wheeled vehicles not braking early enough

Incredible work! I've lost count of how many new features you have added to this simulation; this was much needed! Do you plan on creating Russian equivalents like 2A65 Msta-B or 2S12 Sani? Would be another great opportunity to add more modern transport variants of KAMAZ or URAL.

That is interesting. Would you be able to supply me with a miz file containing the two different examples, and I'll investigate this further. 👍🏻

yeah sure

i couldnt get the units to start jittering again, maybe its a map surface related thing, i'll try to get them to do that

edit: i got it to jitter, if its not on perfectly even ground it does that: testing.miz      the same SA-6 core game group doesnt do that and still goes into perfect formation
