Exactly  👍

Must have been something going bad during the download then. I tried to unpack my downloaded Russian pack and it worked. So I don't think there is anything wrong with the zip.

error  0x80010135  access road too long

And I also have a fast connection !  😉

Interesting, this indicates that a path is too long.

Quote

This error is due to a default limitation of the Windows filesystem as there is a cap of 260 characters for a given file path within the Operating System due to the Win32 API

You are likely exceeding the default Win 260 character path length.

Either:

  • Google "Enable Longer File Path Support" to increase this limit
  • Move the download to a very short path before extracting i.e. c:\a

The Russia pack is 9.26 GB.

DL speed 30 to 37 mb per second for me.

Taking about three minutes,.

Download is working for me.

Has UN-zipped correctly without errors.

I have a fast internet connection.

YMMV

Now WHERE is the BEAR!😎

Targets for the weekend!

Thanks for this!\ and all you do for us!

Great addition!

Saves me the trouble of making it myself!

Cheers!

And Have a wonderful Holiday Mr Currenthill!

Nice! Thank you - and have a wonderful Holiday yourself! 🫡

The KH-101 goes in circles

I just tested them again without issues. Try this test mission.

Well, you're free to not use my assets. And I don't permit redistribution of my assets. 👍🏻

Effectively, his policy is

"You can, say, add his weapons to your aircraft, but you cannot release it to the public"

Also, I have a question about the TU-95.

The Wikipedia article on specifications of the TU-95, says that there is capacity for the Kickback missile and the KH-22 Kitchen.

Why aren't those added yet?

If I remember correctly, they were primarily used on the Тu-95К22.

The Kh-55 missile can cover 2,500 km, the Kh-101’s range is 5,000 km. There were Tu-95 models designed for the use of Kh-22s, but they have now been written off. Theoretically, the Kh-47 (Kinzhal) can also be launched from type of aircraft.

Crud. Guess we're probably not seeing a kitchen attached to a bear.

Regardless, will we see kinzhals on it?

When and if there will be any evidence of it. I mean, it's hard to find any hard evidence of Kh-47M2 on Tu-22M3 yet.

Hi @ItsIsaac

FYI there is existing mods that would provide you the S-400 (not the S-500 for the moment...lack of information from russian sources...) and a variety of S-300 series ( S300MPU1 / S300MPU2 / S300VM / S300V4), an updated version of the BUK (SA17), updated version of SA2-HQ2, Manpads (SA-24), Pantsir-SM, Polyana, Gazetchik....in two different mods:

- HDS mod v2.0.1 and  the S300 pack (v0.2) from @LetMePickThat and @Auranis

There were compatibility problem between the two mods, but i can provide you a link to a merged version of the two mods that works.

Could you please send me the link to the merged version?

@currenthill My game is no longer launching with the russian assets pack installed.

Sounds like you didn't uninstall older assets. As I mentioned before I actually spawned all my 100+ assets in a mission at the same time, without conflicts. I then went through the log and fixed irritating log errors, even non critical warnings.

Dropbox servers are working overtime, we just passed 2 Terabyte downloads of the new packs. 😅

It looks like the links are down. I'm investigating with Dropbox support. They ensured me that going to Dropbox Transfer would free me from the standard bandwidth limit. We'll soon see if they honour their word when tested.

I'm now getting an error message saying files not found.
