I would have to agree! There is no room for Politics, the subject just makes people angry! I've been a Member of DCS World since its release, it's an amazing Simulator! DCS World has become a true hobby! So let's just keep things fun!

Sorry to bother you, perhaps it's already been stated somewhere that I've missed, but is there a list of the proper naming/call for these custom units? I refer to how one can spawn with scripting certain units but only by having their proper call-name such as:

Soldier M4 GRG

 

is there a list anywhere of these proper call names for these custom assets? Thanks in advance.

There is not such a list but you can find it easily. Using Notepad++ for example you need to create a workspace  with folders of your interest (in this case CH mods). Then you need to search for "GT.DisplayName =" within that workspace. The results will look like in the picture below:

Thank you CH for the incredible assets.

When I install the Swedish Infantry pack, DCS crashes on launch. I've tried removing some mods I thought may be conflicting with it, but to no joy. Is this happening for anyone else?

 

*solved*  Sorry, it was an RBS 57 mod apparently.

I've had the same issue. I'll have to get the log this weekend, but it's only the Swedish Infantry update for me. Started happening a few updates ago. All other mods (absolutely outstanding I might add) work great with no conflicts.

Try deleting the RBS57. It used to be standalone but is now a part of the Swedish infantry pack.

Like @Poptart said. I originally thought it was the Swed infantry pack, but checked log and concluded it was the RBS57 conflicting.

I Need Help! All ASCMs and LACMs I fire from CH ships just start doing circles or dont target the enemy ship properly in terminal phase. Any pointers would be greatly appriciated. (Also if someone tells me how to put LRASM onto the hornet I will love them)

CH and whoever else, if anyone, that designs these mods for us. Should be on EDs payroll. I know this transport isn't a mod, but the ones we do have from CH are an incredibly great and needed addition to the theater.

Sound good!! @currenthill if possible please ☝️. Having a tank transport allow us to activate a group of tanks in a specific area, triggering the ability to that transport to reach the position to deploy such tank group.

Well, I've been interested in making submarines and torpedoes, but DCS support for underwater warfare is a bit light. We'll see moving forward.

Yep, it's my contribution to the Mars exploration. 😅

As you might have noticed, it's because of the cruise missile and antiship missile bugs in DCS. They are said to be fixed in the next DCS update.

The Pantsir 57E6 family of missiles are command guided, so you will only get an warning when locked on by the Pantsir radar. Unfortunately, the Pantsir also have an electro-optical sight which it can use at short ranges. And those won't give you a radar warning. Your will need some sort of Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) to detect incoming missiles of this kind. Or your head on a swivel and very sharp eyes. 😅

Ah, okay. Thought it was radar guided. could it be that it is using the electro-optical sight even at the long range? I've never been given a RWR warning for being locked up. I'll be just at the farthest point and it will still shoot at me with no RWR warning. What is the range of the electro-optical sight?
