as the title says:

select TGP and enter point track

Select MARK (icp7)

Markpoint option TGP shows up on DED (when TGP SOI)

create markpoint

Cycle through the markpoint options (OFLY, FCR, HUD..)

the TGP option never shows up again.

It also doesn't seem to work using HUD/helmet sight, TMS does not change LAT/LON from zeroes

@Moonshine reproduced and reported, thanks.

There were some refinements made to the Markpoint logic, in that if a sensor is in track mode, it will automatically select the corresponding Mark option when the DED MARK page is opened. As long as the TGP is installed and powered, and the master mode/sub-mode is not in A-A, MSL ORIDE, DGFT, A-G CCIP, or A-G STRF, the "TGP" markpoint option should be available from the MARK rotary on the DED page, not just on initial display of the DED MARK page.

This is working fine for me. However if you find some other conditions that cause this, please open a new bug report thread. One bug, one thread, please. It makes the community managers jobs easier when trying to sort through which bug threads have been reported, resolved, etc.

Thanks, I think I figured it out - I was using AGM-65D in VIS mode, symbology showed a circle instead of a square. I was able to create a mark point ok.

Hi !

Today I tried to do some SEAD on a SA-3 and after the targetting with the HAD I focused my TGP on the SAM site.

Point track a launcher but the TGP was not available in the Markpoint menu ; only HUD, FCR and OFly.

This is the first time I see this issue.

Well it is broken. When you try to make a markpoint and your TGP is SOI, the option „TGP“ under the MARK page in the DED is available. Using dobber right to step through the different MARK options does switch to FCR, HUD, OFLY but the TGP option does never show up again, thats what’s currently broken.

and if the TGP is not available at all, chances are you do not have one on the jet or the hardpoint isnt powered 😄

Just noticed this during a mission yesterday.

When loaded with a targeting pod, but no ground stores, its not possible to make a markpoint based on the TGP in AG mode. I suspect its got something to do with not being able to switch away from ccip mode, since that button won't do anything if you don't have any ground stores. Normally you can switch to CCRP when carrying bombs, but without ground stores, it does nothing. Also, switching to gun didn't solve it either

So,

  • loadup TGP, go to AG mode,
  • make TGP SOI,
  • setup TGP on a target,
  • press 7 on the icp.
  • Use seq to select TGP if needed -> TGP is not an option.

As a workaround: Doing the same thing entirely from NAV mode does work.

When coming on Markpoint page on DED (pressing keypad number 7), TGP sensor option is not shown as an option when TGP is Slaved to waypoint (the biggest cross on TGP). TGP being SOI or No SOI it does not matter:

If it is to Area track or Point track, TGP option is there on ICP.

And if you cycle with a dobber switch Right, TGP disappears. You have to press number 7 again to TGP appear. Is this is how it should be? All other sensor options like HUD, FCR and OFLY are always there.

It kind of makes no sence, why TGP option woundn't be there at all times, pilot has to TMP Up to create a Markpoint anyway, right?

Example track attached.
