Huey seems to be one of the most popular dcs modules. I don't know how much revenue it gives ED anymore.  But give  its popularity I feel it needs an upgrade.

Apperantly they're already working on fixing an engine thing.  But I feel it needs a upgrade.

High fidelity cockpit and externals. As well as stuff people have  been asking for for years. Like troops in the back. Ability to have proper slicks with no pylons etc.

I would be perfectly happy if this came with a payed upgrade like the KA-50 and A-10 got

Troops on the back can require build some kind of FPS... that will be outside of UH-1 module.

For Work/Gaming: 28" Philips 246E Monitor - Ryzen 7 1800X - 32 GB DDR4 - nVidia RTX1080 - SSD 860 EVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 1 TB / 860 QVO 2 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Warthog / TPR / MDF

ED need implement a system to add troops to all air/helo modules, no make a mod witout any security as official.

That would be nice.
I love the Huey, but lets face it; Those philips screw-heads, and the nuts 'n bolts look like they are spray-painted on with a jablon.
It really deserves a makeover. The original artists deserve it!

Agree with all of the above, especially the troops in the back.

Although, I would settle with a little AI tweak that would stop troops from running straight for a tail rotor whenever they see one.

"Ohhh, look a spinning shiny!"

Agree.

Far better textures than the increasingly dated ones.

Better interaction with troops and crew.

Choose between the gunship, the Slick and the stretcher rack, double side door equipped medevac variants.

Same lines as the Hog.  Full price module with a healthy discount for those who own the original.  I think that would be fair.

I think - in addition to a general overhaul stated above - the module would really improve significantly if we could do more sophisticated transport and "real" SAR operations.

For example
- loads on a sling being animated like fire fight bambi bucket and water "bombing"
- pickup animatable loads with the sling prepared on the ground
- even more important, dynamic and controllable winch / hoist operations, and
- SWAT team deployments with ropes
- providing a data interface for external sensors such as radars or FLIR cameras

A UH-1Y Venom version would be state of the art.

Agree with all the above-mentioned Mods. Especially the last ones (Tinkickef, rato65). Maybe, if we are enough voters, we'll achieve something😉👍.

All point has outside of UH-1H module. Sling, anymate loads controllable winch / hoist / animate crew / rope / SAR operations has part of the core and affect to all transport helos, no only the UH-1H.

Need remember the actual Huey has a 70-80 UsArmy helo, no a equiped with radar or other system as Radars, MADs, FLIRs, etc with have a complete diferent module as a AB-212 ASW, UH-1N or a UH-1Y marine corps cristal cockpit. Build that variants need change FM, systems, weapons, etc.

I agree it would be EPIC to see an upgraded model and to have the mods mentioned above, it's easily my favorite chopper to fly.

I dont understand why are you gatekeeping here. People are asking for a representation of modernized Huey. Which yes it is can be a 212 or a 412 but also not. The -1Y version is yet different from any 212 or 412, so one could argue that is the true modern version of the Huey... With all modern avionics and glass cockpit.

In the end, just let people wish for whatever they like. The tech to do some of such stuff is there already, look at the Apache and especially the upcoming Chinook. They are practically all glass.

The only thing that would need more development time is having a visualization of whatever cargo you are transporting (i.e. troops, crates, stretchers) there idk how difficult that would be to implement but i don't think they will need to write an fps engine for that. Just some logic that loads and changes a 3d model of your helicopter interior when triggered.

Note, this is an engine model. The visuals aren't changing, but the gauges will finally read what they're supposed to read.

I mean, it's great, but it's not a visual overhaul this thing needs.

UH-1N / Y has diferent helos vs UH-1H, by Fligh Model, Engine Model with 2 engines vs 1, Systems, Cockpit and Rotor Head on the Y, that is not a simple copy and paste, has a complete new aircraft with can require rebuild them from scratchs, and update them to Sea Environment on Y.

Yeah. Yes. Yes the Y shares the general shape with the H, not much more.

My point was: people are expressing a wish to have a "modern" incarnation of the Huey, me too i would gladly pony up full price for a module that simulates the Y with the same approximation as, say, the Apache.

Speaking of upgrades, it might be just me but I think the US Marines Skin has finally been fixed. I'm seeing a more grey modern look than that bizarre blueish tint that seemed to plague the poor bird. Thumbs up for upgrades! 😎
