Sorry just spotted this thread, add me to the MeToo movement.  Channel update bought on steam, never owned 1.0.  I have 1.0 block graphics.  Tried on standalone.  Have the wrong licenses been allocated to everyone that bought for 1.0?

Checking my ED profile though, it does say show

"

DCS: Normandy 1944 Map
DCS: Normandy 2.0 Map

"

among my transferred licenses (when I synced licenses it only told me 2.0 was going to be added)

In the module manager page it only shows 1944 as installed, I see some photos on here with people showing 2.0 on that page

An observation of something maybe out of place:
fwiw, I own the channel + normandy 1.0, so naturally I opted for the $14 upgrade on steam, not the slightly more $20 "only own 1 of these" upgrade.

Now, on the DCS 'page' in my steam library, in the DLC sidebar on the right, it's showing two "Normandy 2.0" badges, but they both have the 'upgrade' text on the picture? (bottom left of badge, hard to make out in the screenshot)

I would expect only one of these would have the 'update' text?  (similar to the BS3 shown here as well, which was an upgrade from BS2)

EDIT: searching the steam store again for "DCS Normandy" seems to imply that I own the two upgrades (I only purchased the $13.42 one) ...
... yet I apparently do not own Normandy 2.0 itself?

EDIT2: ...and under "Manage my DLC" here, while it is listing that I own "Normandy 2.0 and Normandy 2.0 Upgrade 2", the "Normandy 2.0" links to the "Normandy 2.0 Upgrade from normandy 1944" store item.  Certainly seems like there's a wire crossed here...

STEAM HAS RIPPED ME OFF

I have the same problem as stated in the posts above. I use Steam exclusively and already owned The Channel and Normandy 1.0 maps. I use the Open Beta.

1.On purchasing I think Steam didn't recognize owning the 2 maps and has over charged me for the N2 purchase.

2.I only have the Normandy upgrade showing (confirmed in mission builder) and not the expanded map, so I have not got London and Paris is low res.

3.I have followed BigNewey's suggestions to verify files, uncheck stuff etc with no luck.

Whilst I understand there are glitches and bugs in new releases not only have I not got what I paid for I have been over charged for what little I got. I'm OK to wait for the team to resolve the Map side of things but how is the overpayment addressed?

Q? Who do we pursue for a remedy on this, ED, Ugra or Steam?????

Does anyone have a definitive way of knowing what we have and what we're looking at please? Good Whiskey, Doctor, and Lotto numbers welcome too, ta.

it certainly seems to me like a Steam issue: Search the store again now for "DCS Normandy" and see what's actually marked as "In Library" for you -

I Purchased: DCS: Normandy 2 Upgrade ,    which states: "... for those of you who own DCS: Normandy 1944 and DCS: The Channel maps"

-so should have received Normandy 2.0 aka, 'the new map'. However, this map itself is not marked as "in Library".

Instead, I've got DCS: Normandy 2 Upgrade from Normandy 1944 (the $20 upgrade for "Normandy 1.0 only" owners) in my library - so yea, I got both upgrades when I bought the first one, but no actual Normandy 2.0 map. Following the links in your "Manage DLC" show the same mixup, so I'd say this is indeed something steam has to sort out for us.

So I assume the 'blurry textures' are really just still Normandy 1.0.

I'm doing the verify files thing now but unfortunately I'm more confused than before.  I thought I had Normandy 2 but is it possible I don't even though I see London and Paris?

Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

I have channel map and norm bought from ED when I updated the beta  the norm is included but with low textures but if i buy and ignore the "you all ready have this map" and buy the new norm the textures are in the game with no more download needed lol hope this makes sense to some one possibly no help to anyone...

I have the same problem. Bought the $10 upgrade on steam (I'm on open beta of course), and two different Normandy 2.0 upgrades show in my dlc library. However in the game I still have no new textures (even the old airfields look worse than before with less detail). The runways on the new airfields are just dark lines on the ground, and the buildings are ultra low res. Have restarted the steam client, verified files, restarted the computer...all to no avail. I'd say this is a pretty serious problem.

Just tried to purchase the upgrade on steam and it warns about duplicate items and already owning Normandy v1.

Maybe the upgrade bundle is pointing to the wrong DLC?

the warning can be ignored.

But you are correct, the old terrain actually shares the old ID internally, this was done as users who dont upgrade still get the normandy 2 free update. The warning is a side affect of that process. I have asked if anything can be done about the warning.

If you own the channel or normandy 1944 on steam you should have at the least had a $14.99 upgrade option,

the $9.99 offer seems to be having issues.

if you have the old terrains on steam and then paid full price you need to ask steam for a refund

STEAM USERS:

depending on which product you own, you will see a different upgrade option. If you already own both, you may see two upgrade options. Rest assured! Both upgrades are the same and grant access to the full Normandy 2.0.

For owners of Normandy 1944. Upgrade here to N2: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2314970/DCS_Normandy_2_Upgrade_from_Normandy_1944/

For owners of The Channel. Upgrade here to N2:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2404030/DCS_Normandy_20_Upgrade_from_The_Channel/

for owners of both normandy 1944 and the channel
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2399900/DCS_Normandy_20_Upgrade/

you only need one upgrade option, they all have the same result and will unlock the high detail area outside the old terrain boundaries

Except it doesn't. I have Normandy and Channel. Bought the 9.99 upgrade. Yet have only low textures. My steam still lists Normandy 1944.

In game. I have the Normandy icon not Normandy 2 icon.

If I delete Normandy 1944 from my dlc. But keep the Normandy 2.0 and Normandy upgrade 2 DLCs. Thr Normandy map is gone from the game.

It happens exactly the same. Purchasing the correct option should unlock the high resolution textures but it doesn't.

It's so frustrating for us Steam users that after 16 hours of the Normandy 2 launch, we still can't enjoy the DLC we purchased.

I wonder how long will take ED to fix it this time...

Yes as mentioned in various threads I have alerted the team about people still having issues after the upgrade.

thanks

Have ED figured out if this is just a problem for those that bought the 9.99 upgrade pack 2 or if it also affects those that bought the 14.99 upgrade pack 1?

I bought the 14.99 upgrade pack since I only had Normandy 1944. Same problem for me.

I think it doesn't matter which upgrade pack you buy. As long as you are on Steam, you will get this issue.
