Trial version of 2.0

Is it present? I have full version of N'2.0 so I havent this option but Id like to advice my friend to try it. Is it possible?

If you see low resolution you don't have N2, either trial or already bought, it's the updated Normandy "1.5".

When you start trial version of normandy 2.0, you get 15 days of normandy 1.5. not the full resolution normandy 2.0

Hmmm, so looks like we havent trial for 2.0 but only for Normandy 1944 + update (so 1,5). Right?

Mate, I'm not in that position since I already own N2 hence never even saw updated N1.5 on my PC, but I think it's easy. What would you want a free trial for if you get the same result as just updating your regular N1 map? So, if you see low res things you aren't in N2 and you aren't trialling anything since you aren't watching the full map to decide if you'd like to update or not. Just that. Low res, N1.5, High res, N2. If you already bought N2 and are seeing low res you probably had some of the Steam problems with the update, perhaps? If you didn't buy it you're 1.5 and not enjoying the trial since in low res you aren't trialling a thing. So, something's going on there.

Of course the trial version should be as FULL 2.0 version. Notice that new customers cant buy 1.5 v so why we have trial for not full product I dont know. Maybe a mistake?

Well, technically 1.5 doesn't exist.  it is still a way of identifying it.  in the installation you see 1944 or 2.0

1944? No. It doesnt exist for new customers from the last Friday :). 

Its present still in ED store, however you cant buy it: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/terrains/normandy_terrain/ .

The Area of Normandy 1944 was updated to 2.0 Spec, so if you have Normandy 1944, The Map inside of that area will be updated,

The Expanded Area (Normandy 2.0), will be available to anyone with Normandy 1944 in a Lower Quality,

Normandy 2.0 will enable the entire map area to be higher quality.

It was done this way so Normandy 1944 Customers can still play with friends on Normandy 2.0, etc.

@SkateZilla That's all fine and dandy, but not quite what this thread is about .

The questions is what variant of the N2 map should download, activate and display on one's PC after enabling trial license if you are:

a) player who owns N1.5 but wants to try N2;

b) player who never owned Normandy and now wants to try it.

Logic says it should be N2 in both cases, but judging from posts above, it might not be happening (?).

But what does this have to do with trial version 2.0 ? We're talking here about new clients and people who never had N'1944.

Trial means = I havent it on my account so by logic, am I right? 

It just looks like a mistake and Ugra and ED probably have to explain it on their side because there is no trial of 2.0.

I would like to test 2.0, currently I can only try it without higher details.
What I want to know is if the new 2.0 runs on my system satisfactorily before buying, but without a trial I cannot perform a real test.
Bad decision not to publish 2.0 as trial IMHO.

In my opinion, it's not 90%, but something around 50-60% maximum. In blue terrain you have better quality of textures. This is a really big area, not 10% only.

Well, that's a way of saying 90%. there's enough terrain in hd to try. On the other hand, several modules do not have a 15-day trial and are purchased the same. Like sudatlantic, mirage f1 or mb339. In addition, for many years nothing could be proven and no one died in the attempt.

I just activated the trial for Normandy 2 and in the module manager pre-download it referred to it as Normandy 1944 (rather than Normandy 2). Have flown on it and confirmed it has a blurry big ben, dcs log file here: dcs.log.old

Not yet trial of full 2.0, just updated 1944 (so named 1.5 by someone). Also notice that you cant buy this N’1.5 so we cant say you have trial of product which you can buy in the store later.
