Everything is good in this regard! You just need to study the screenshots well!

Just MHO, but I think the gaps between those concrete slabs could be toned down a bit.

The reality look quite a bit more subtile, to me at least.

I am hoping very much that they can include a more highly detailed mesh. All these maps ( in particular the South Atlantic map, of which I had high hopes) fall down with the resolution of the terrain mesh, making the mountains look rounded and leaving nothing to "hang" the detail in the satellite imagery on. I had a LOT of Orbx scenery when I flew FSX and they used a mixture of satellite imagery and procedurally generated textures. Looks similar here. Could be really good, but will defintely need a high res mesh to make it really special........

Agreed - as someone who likes to fly low, IMO high resolution terrain mesh trumps high resolution textures.

Not 100% sure, but it looks a lot like Bodø with "Saltstraumen" to the left.  One of the strongest tidal currents in the world.

It's Arnøy south west of Bodø, the island right behind the hornet.

Im seeing some are worried regarding low details on the airport terminal in Bodø. Dont worry to much about it, as it looks like work in process, regarding that the airport tower and building look spot on, so expect it to be updated.

For me I think it's the coast surrounding Bodø in the first image - both the mesh and textures seem to have quite a low resolution and part of the textures appear stretched.  The mesh of the islands immediately north of the air station also looks quite low resolution - reminding me almost of the Caucasus map. You can also see similar areas in the bottom-right of the 6th image (including what looks to be a pyramid).

I'm not going to hold too much judgement as the map is WIP and it's still firmly at the top of my most anticipated maps.

My fear is that this is gonna be South Atlantic all over again, map that only looks good from 5000 feet and above and will run like crap.

This is the point, do we want a map that looks perfect but only runs at 10fps?

In the SA map case, it looks far far far from perfect, but also has terrible performance.
I don't want a Kola map that completely pulls me out of the immersion if I fly low level bombing or a helo. That's what happens on the SA map now, even after various updates.

Yes, we would like to have a balanced map in terms of performance and details like Syria (or even Sinai).

I hope Orbx has taken note of how not to do things like SA.
