From flights today, I can confirm the lights are working on Single Threaded executable at noon in heavy weather.

Might be a Multi Threaded thing as Zaius pointed out.
Use Single Threaded as the MT gains were not worth against the bugs still present.

off topic note: If you're flying the Hornet, also the A/G radar in GMT and SEA's map overlay is not bugged in Single Threaded as they overlay on top of bricks without the interleave function being on and on every sweep.

Quick question:

According to the changelog, the issue with the line up lights should have been fixed with the June, 8th update.

However, when I hopped into Bankler's Case 1 Training mission, the line up lights were still u/s.

Does anyone else have still this issue?

Try to Load Bankler´s mission in Mission Editor, then save it, and then try to fly the mission again to see if the issue persists.

About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.'

Thank you for the tip, I'll try it and report back.

Same on my end. Should be visible up to 10nm (Wiki stats so take with salt) yet in the current MT it's only discernable when already in the groove.

I suspect it's related to settings/resolution.  No problem for me to see them on the GW on Persian Gulf tonight at >10 nm.  I'm 2D.

Might be, but somehow I am disinclined to mess with the resolution etc. For what it is worth, I just did a quick test with Bankler's mission in ST and there the lights are easy to observe.

My resolution is 1440p

LRLS test in a bit "darker/cloudier" environment (multiplayer)

It's visible but if the sun is high in the sky and without clouds it can be harder to discern the light

Watching that in full screen at 1440p, I cannot discern the light until 0.6nm on the TACAN.

My earlier screenshot was in 1080p. Will have to test at night...I assume it's mainly used for CASE III / night anyways.

I tried twice at night and I couldn't see them until I was at 8nm or just under. It may have been hidden for a short time by the hud symbology but I was looking around the hud to get it out of view so I'm sure I couldn't see them at 10nm.

I haven't tried this patch during the day yet.

I'm running 1440p, 2D with most settings maxed out on a RTX 4080.

Couple of pre-Multithread LRLS examples in 1440p:

Case I - Turning final at 03:00
LRLS looks bigger/puffier than in current MT build?

Case III
Video starts at 6 nm to carrier but I think I had no trouble seeing the LRLS even earlier

Does not work since the first multi-core version. Was reported fixed twice, but it wasn't fixed. The topics get closed too, but I'm happy to report it again.

I tested it in OpenBeta, MT preview with the supercarrier module. The light is off all the time (independent of red, green, yellow).

latest OB, MT - and it works. It was recently fixed.

you call that fixed?  they are on but are not long range, maybe 2 to 3nm at night, how or who ticked that off as fixed obviously didn't test it before patch release

I saw that it was marked as fixed, but it is still not working. Not in the "Mission Qualification - Supercarrier CASE I Recovery" "Persian Gulf" at least. I was playing this mission after the last patch and it is still not working on my system.

It was fixed and it is working, even in this mission.

It looks like a problem on your end. Is your game up to date?

6.5 NM to be exact, and you are right it should be closer to 10nm.

Yes, my game is up-to-date and I used to see the light, before the MT version game out. Am I not supposed to see the light during day landings? Was it dimmed down? I used to see that light from 10 nm away in the past, now I don't see it at all.
