I do believe you misread that completely. Sinai isn’t from Razbam, so how would that hurt them?

BTW, still waiting for an answer for my previous query.

But it has only been on Pre-order since February that isn't really that long of a pre-order window. The Apache was delayed about 6 months and didn't even come out till March of 2022 when they said it was going to be out in December 2021, and the pre-orders launched even earlier than that. So get your panties out of your butt. Also, you are only denying yourself by not buying the Sinai map when there are literally a dozen other aircraft you could be using on it right this moment but instead you want to throw a temper tantrum like a petulant child. I bought the map and love it, and have no regrets about it what so ever.

The Apache was in pre order for 6 months, it wasn't delayed for 6 months, completely false info. Pre order started in October and it released in March. If the Beagle doesn't come out before September, it will have the longest pre order in the game. And so far, nothing indicates that it's coming out anytime soon.

Why don't you wanna let people speak freely ? If you don't like it you can ignore, it's not like this thread is spamming your forum feed or hurting anyone.

Well, yes. ED wouldn't need to ask them to push it back; it's their platform and they have final say over what gets released for better or for worst. The idea of them asking a third party to delay a release is quite silly in that regard.

I'm just curious where the claim came from or if it's just the ever-so-mysterious Some People™.

Didn't know ED could be this dirty.

But yes, I am on the last moment pre-order team now.

This guy is definitely the kind of guy to double text a chick within the first hour of getting her number then blow her phone up with calls if she doesnt respond within 30 mins lol

You can speak freely as much as you like, as long as you mind your manners. 😉

No reason to punish OnReTech (maker of Sinai map) for delay of the F-15E.

Makes no sense…

The plane will be here soon enough and in EA for years…

Fair enough, there's definitely times when discussions aren't very cordial in these forums.

But nevertheless, these discussions have the right to exist, I believe you were hinting at the deletion or the locking down of this thread to which I do not think it is a good idea. Not being always cordial is what makes discussions like that more "human" if you catch my drift. It'll be boring if each thread derailing the slightest bit or being the least bit unpolite were immediately shut down, especially since it doesn't hurt anyone, just gets slightly annoying at times but what can you do, it's free speech.

I think I've spoken enough, to be perfectly honest, I'm just here for the show 😙

Hate to tell ya bud but that is the way it rolls around here. Differing opinion must be controlled, topics maintained, and manners......well those are useless in the business world. Best to remember this is a Russian company at heart, control is their entire game plan. @BIGNEWY and @NineLine just wrangle the herd. Best to observe and go to other campfires to discuss "issues".

While I totally agree with the sentiment of what you wrote, I also have the opinion that the pre-release / early access / launch practices for DCS are remarkably bad. Many people have spent too much time trying to point that out to ED and all of the developers who play in the DCS ecosystem, and alas, the practices continue. Unfortunately the only other way to voice your thoughts outside of speaking up on a forum is the proverbial "voting with your wallet"... and in this case, I've already paid for yet another "imminent" release (said multiple times by both Razbam and ED) that still has no date.

I'm glad to support ED, Razbam, and OnReTech (I'll buy Sinai), but I think I'm finally to the point where I'll hold off on any new purchases until the purchases I've already made are delivered, or at least until we have a solid date on the purchases I've already made.

The launch practices are bad, and I hope they change for the better.

Dear all,

It was jointly decided between RAZBAM and EDSA leadership that the F-15E required additional time to test and address bugs identified by EDSA internal testing/Closed Beta Testing (CBT). Whilst we had an internal milestone goal, it was just that, a goal and that was never a public/official release date to move. The Sinai map release has had nothing to do with this matter.

We understand that many of you are very anxious to get your hands on it, particularly those that pre-ordered it. We and RAZBAM simply want to ensure that we deliver an F-15E that lives up to your high expectations. This truly will be the year of the F-15E, F-4E, Sinai map, and more.

Kind regards,

Wags

But if that's the case, and I don't doubt that it's true, why allow the YouTube content creators to release videos left and right? And we're not talking about previews, these are tutorials, mission videos that would usually only come out after or just before a release. If there was an issue then cool, no problem but with the videos coming out daily, it looks to us like the content creators are doing just fine with it. Maybe that particular issue is more on RB but the point still stands. Combine that with statements from ED like "coming in hot," and "imminent," that a day later changes to "when we 100% know we'll tell you," I'm sure you can understand where people might get a little upset.

Ahoi,

nice thread here - many people with different opinions - I like this!
I bought Sinai and had some very cool hours yesterday there in my F-15C and my Viper. Sinai is a really beautiful and good performing map, especially in evenings or at night it's really cool.
I also pre-ordered the Mudhen and i really can't wait for that release, since 1987 I'm in love with the F-15 ("F-15 Strike Eagle" on my Atari 800 XL from tape^^)

I really think, that the Mudhen won't be disapointing at release. After all videos I saw on YT so far this must be really a great module. 😍

People get upset if devs remain silent and don't show anything of their module in advance, so they start declaring a project as dead. People also get upset if devs show off their stuff without releasing the product ASAP, assuming it must be ready for release if there are videos of it. Whatever the devs do, for some people it's always wrong. Damned if you do, damned if you don't 🙄

All I know is, I've seen up to 10 to 15 people(half of them I've never heard of) posting on YouTube flying the f15e module, saying its amazing, therefore it must work, therefore it must be up for release, just out with it and say it was delayed because whoever made the sinai map threw there toys out the pram because razbam was releasing when they wanted to release, and stop making up bs, I'm ex Infantry I can smell it a mile away 😆

can't there be a middle ground though? These projects take time and problems arise, come up every time you change something (good lord don't we know it). People will always find something to complain about, it's the shortfall of humanity. But with proper communication (not being silent or or allowing YT to flood with vids that time and time again we have been told would signal a very close release. People get confused. What Wags said is the best thing we could have got. We now know what is going on and for me it's that simple. Ya'll found bugs, BOOM done deal. Get some work done RB, be waiting to fly it.

I think It is up to the developer to decide if a module is ready for release. Not the general public who sees some in game footage on YouTube. I would say delay it by another month to polish it even further just to mess with the entitled "I paid for the pre pre pre order" and want it NOW!

I could see your point if I were talking about RBs official channel but thats not the case. There's a dozen or more YT channels, some with a few hundred views that are releasing videos daily. As other have said, typically the flood of YT videos is a sign of a close release, especially when the devs release a cold start video. Combine that with ED saying what they said, then both RB and ED going basically radio silent while YTers keep pumping out videos and its understandable where people would get a little miffed.

Well if you don't like the videos then maybe don't watch them? Other people are happy about having new footage to watch while waiting for release.
