Yes, you can change the color values of the hud in the respective definition file. You should find it in the ED folder on your drive in mods/aircraft/F15E/cockpit. Just be aware that any change will be overwritten with new patches so you might wanna use a mod manager for that.

Yeah the HUD brightness is much too light in the day time even when maxed out...

Has anyone found the HUD Color to Black for DAY? I looked in the place where I changed the A-10C II 

I:\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\A-10C_2\Cockpit\Scripts\HUD\Indicator\

But no Script folder to match it lol Friggin RAZ...

No any knob for brightness here? It could be strange, its a standard of HUD display (colour is different thing).

If you can, when you are back at your computer, could you please point me to the right lua file.  There are so many of them and I cannot seem to find the right one.

My HUD brightness knob was turned up to the max already

I have tried to find the lua file in the HUD sub directory, but cannot find the right one to change or darken the HUD green color.  ANY THOUGHTS?

If assigned to an axis knob it only utilized the last 50% of the axis, maybe an error going on there, just can't get it bright enough for even a cloudy background.

That's why sunvisor in F-15 make sense, just try it..

Has anyone found the lua file to change the Hud green to another color?  Even with the visor, I still have to use the Hud repeater to see it clearly at  times.

This is a major help. Use the pilot visor it fixes the hud issue.

you can always have the HUD in one of the MFDs dont forget especially if the sun is washing out the HUD

I use both the visor and the HUD repeater, but it would be nice if the HUD was bright gold or black sometimes.

Yes the sun visor is excellent in the f-15E.

Wish it would be ported across similar airframes or become standard in DCS

The issue that I have with the sun visor is that while it may help the HUD, it makes the UFC very dark.

I feel the console and instrument lights to be dim even with maxed out brightness.
