HB say chances are the problem is on ED's side. And since I cannot reproduce the issue, I cannot report it to ED. I'll ask if fellow testers can reproduce it.

Thanks so much!  It kind of goes to show the complexity of the testing problem that ED have, this is such a "replicable" bug for me and "many" others, hats off though thanks for the follow through!

yesterday the vdi screen was working for me as intended. i tryed 6 times wis complete restard of DCS and my PC. In every first missionstart the vdi was working. 

 

But today the bug was here again. VDI just strarted to work after mission restart.

It’s still the same as it’s been for the last 18 months or so:

- If you fly something else first then switch to the F-14, the TCS display works correctly;

- If you fly the F-14 as the first aircraft in your current DCS session, the TCS display is black until you restart/reload the mission.

Because we’re now ALL stuck on Multithreaded build. And everything that still hasn’t worked in MT.

I have the same issue, in addition some missions freeze at starting, just with unpause. Attach logs.

I reported this issue a few times, no patch solved it.

Every time after starting a mission (cold&dark, or ready to takeoff) the vdi screen is black and doesn't show the camera output. I alway have to quit the mission and click on restart mission to make it work.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

the "best" current option is to "restart the mission" with Left SHIFT + R , which is marginally faster...  there is no "other" fix at present that i am aware of

We're still at a loss. However, you guys may help us eliminate theories. Can you please test this track and tell me if it helps reproduce the bug 100% of the time ? (on the first mission run, of course)

That is:

1. Start DCS.
2. Run the track.
3. See if the bug is present.
4. Restart DCS and go back to step 2.

Yes, followed it to the T and both runs resulted in black/blank TCS image on VDI, only the green symbology is there.

I'm comparing the 3 log files you guys sent, and it made me realize you all have NVIDIA GPUs. Am I correct?

I have a 1080Ti but I'm not affected. I'm thinking maybe it has to do with NVIDIA options. Can one of you try resetting the NVCP options to default ("Restore Defaults"), then see if the bug is still here?

Still the same. I always had it on default.

I ran your procedure twice. First in 2D, then in VR.
- In 2D the VID renders correctly (green);
- In VR it's bugged (black).

Same as speed-of-heat reported, basically.

Thank you for confirming. So, a track is enough to reproduce the issue, but only for affected users. The issue is not stored into the track, which means tracks are not helping in this case.
