One question: does blc , APC shaker e kicker already work?

Posted (edited)

Hi @dave76,

Yes all those systems have already been implemented. To be fair, the FFB implementation of the shaker and the kicker have not been extensively tested yet.

Looks great Fausete!  Enlighten me, what are the 3 light bulbs on the right side over the glare shield, Radar Warning gear?  I haven't seen those on any pictures of an F-104

Thanks for the quick response - what model RWR, and whose jets were these installed on?  If you can say at this point in development, will the Zipper have a similar granularity of model/equipment variation that the F-1 has?

The first cockpit pictures of the F-104 and the announced new features of the F1 are great to say the least. It is a real pleasure to see how Aerges is moving up to the Champions League of 3rd party developers with their high quality modules.

The F-104G should have the underside catamaran launcher for a pair of AIM-9s, used most prominently in Norwegian and Japanese service.  My understanding is that the F-104J used in Japan was a license-built F-104G by Mitsubishi, just missing the A/G functions of the NASARR F-15 radar

No, that would be the updated F-104S variant (and only 2 AAM on that position, not 4), we are getting the F-104G ... which I personally prefer because of its more widespread use (Belgium, Denmark, West Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey).

I saw a hell of a lot of Starfighters in the '70's especially, in Germany - mostly Luftwaffe and RNLAF types _ I remember them vividly. I hope Aerges manage to get the correct noise for them - it was pretty unique. I only came across one simulated F-104 that had that howl and it instantly took me back - it really boosts the experience and immersion ...

The typical early J79 howl vanished on German One-oh-fours with the engine update.

I meant 4 total asin the two belly and two wings

This is incorrect. The -S had two weapon stations under each wing, and for the most part never used the under belly stations. In fact, with the ASA/ASAM updates they were not even on the weapon selector panel.

Didn't knew that, as I had seen it on photos with ventral AAMs:

Yea that's a relatively early S and it's also an airshow/demonstration picture basically. As far as I know, it is the only picture (at least, the only easily found picture) of an Italian F-104 of any variant using the ventral pylons for missiles.

edit: adding to what Yewls posted, Norway and Japan weren't the only countries to use the ventral pylons. There are plenty of photos of Taiwanese, Danish and Dutch aircraft doing the same.

The ventrals were also used in the german Air Force and Navy. The tips were a lot more common in the air force, though.
