fixed LUV UAZ-469 Jeep invisible

"Internally" means in ED internal (non-public) build.

The fix should be part of the next Open Beta update.

Hello,

I am not sure is this reported by anyone ever. At least I could not find it and also I did not know should it be posted here or to 2D Video Bugs. Sorry if it is in wrong place.

I was doing some training flying on different mission with Huey and noticed that my dummy target UAZ-469 are not showing up at all unless you are right next to them.  After noticing this I went and decided to reinstall DCS World. (I am using DCS Steam edition with open beta).

It didn't change anything sadly. Still same issue and I also made more simpler mission where there is just UAZ-469 and Huey and two planes added there to see if it comes up for TGP as well.

In TGP UAZ does apper when you are in certain altitudes and distances from it. Otherwise you can't see it either there.  Also it doesn't matter if you are in the plane or helicopter. You can just go F7 and zoom out of UAZ and it disappears.

I did add here as a picture of my graphic settings, two track files, mission itself and some pictures where you can see it and not.

The same. I can confirm this issue.

UAZ-469 has LOD issue. Looks like no any "medium range" LOD of this model.

Steps to reproduce:

Look at it using the F7 view.

Zoom in.

Zoom out.

There is a range where it doesn't load.

Got back into DCS recently and couldn't help but notice that the venerable UAZ-469 has an all-new issue, which is that it becomes completely invisible at its medium LOD. When far away it shows a a 'black, vaguely car-shaped dot', when up close it is a stunning 3D model, at your usual low-intensity helicopter engagement range it just vanishes.
