I really like this mod and use it a great deal. Thanks for creating it, Bandit. One suggestion I have is for more rain presets without overcast. As it is, any weather preset with overcast prevents AI aircraft from effectively performing search and engage tasks. This means if you are playing a dynamic campaign mission with AI flights performing CAS or Armed Recon, you are effectively restricted to using Light Rain 1 (which is a DCS preset), or Scattered Showers 1, 2, 3, and 5 (I think those are the only ones in the mod without overcast) if you want rainy weather.

It would be great if this mod could add some more rain presets with a greater variety in rain intensity without including overcast, as this would expand the number of rain presets that can be used with AI aircraft.

Yes, no changes to the mod were required with the latest DCS update.

I revisited DLSS recently after some time without any AA and have found that there is now minimal smearing with moving aircraft. The cockpit is as sharp as it can get. It all looks very good (preset F, quality scaling set 0.9).

Hey guys,

Minor update to the mod today. I added the requested thumbnails with yellow outline for the cloud presets. This makes it easier to find the mod preset versus the default ones. 

10/11/2024 - Updated to version 11

- Updated cloud preset thumbnails. The Mod thumbnails are now outlined in yellow for better visibility. Thanks to forum user ggrewe for help with this.
- Fixed issue with cloud presets being out of order

Hi,

I have a doubt: if I employ one of the Presets available with this Mod on one of my missions, and then I share the mission with someone that does not have this Mod ... does he still get the Weather that I set, or is the mission's Weather reset to a DCS default?

I believe it resets to DCS default.

^ Seems logical. If mission calls for certain version/modification of files to be loaded, but these files are not there on your friend's local PC, there's simply nowhere to load data from.

I guess the question remains if weather he sees will reset to next default preset in chronological order, or to "no clouds" (old cloud system) preset. I think that should be easy to check even on your PC, though. Save mission with bandit's mod, exit the game, disable mod, reboot PC to clear any cached data, launch the game, load the mission again and see what clouds DCS decided to use (if any).

yes, just checked and the mission reverts to "no clouds" when the mod is inactive, but it seems to "remember" my preset, so if I re-enable the Mod the preset is still selected.

Thanks for the support so far. I am going to keep making more "visual dictionary" style videos of the mod. The next one is likely to be about "Cirrocumulus Clouds".

I am using the mod and like it very much.

Have a question, lets say I am flying a scripted campaign, I am not editing weather or nothing.

If I have the mod active, is the weather different than if I have the mod de activated? Does the mod changes default weather in missions when activated, or only when I edit weather and use the presets?
