Respectfully, how does that happen? The final check is completed hours before launch even though they announced the date weeks ago?

Does it matter what is broken? If they have a deliverable to meet today, shouldn’t testing be done on a timeline to accommodate that schedule?

Feel your pain. As a Youtuber myself (not monetising anything), I have plans big and small on this latest and coolest. It all has to wait then.

Disappointing as I also had the afternoon free but I am sure there are good reasons, ED would not delay things unnecessarily.

That assumes they can just knock out another build with any flaky stuff rolled back, and also assumes the flaky stuff isn't also a dependency of something else left in the build.

As others have said, these things happen from time to time and its generally wiser to take your time fixing the underlying issue properly as well-meaning rushing of things often ends up risking making matters worse.

So read carefully, it's not ED who is supposed to work on adapting the patch to the F-4E, but HB. Something went wrong. I also have my sources.  The patch cannot appear without the F-4E and vice versa.

Either way you have to wait, I hope it will be one day not more, but be prepared for the other situations if the problem will not be solved

On the day of the release this is really good and happy news, I didn't even notice any sign of apology, just a dry statement... I can imagine it at a concert, sorry folks, no concert today, come back tomorrow

I believe the release dates are somewhat optimistic-realistic. Anything might have gone wrong. Perhaps the testing was progressing but in the end some issue proved harder. It's not like everything is tested two weeks sooner and they are just hovering over the "RELEASE" button. I've seen last minute surprises even in highly automated SW environments. Sometimes even when you didn't touch anything. I'm looking forward to tomorrow... or the day after.

We have to be talking in circles.  I'm saying ED broke something on their end and need to fix it.  They didn't want it to impact the reception if the F-4 and are now working on it.

Sorry, its not alright......people are entitled to feel very upset and angry about this.......

They should made teh release standalone anyway, why tie it in with a load of other stuff........
