Meanwhile, a Kiowa video was released with the promise of “in 2 weeks.” I hope they also give out a preview version to YouTube reviewers.

The video Polychops showed was a pre-release teaser...are you sure they didnt mean 2 weeks to the pre-release video rather than the module?

I took their use of "in 2 weeks" to be a tongue-in-cheek reference to the in-joke that devs always say that a release will be in 2 weeks.

I agree with the first part, but for a different reason. It can't be normal for every patch to be delayed. It shouldn't be, and stuff like this is what turns people away and they los customers

This is what I'm saying DCS needs to sit down and talk . I'm shocked at the comments here just over a 24 hour delay , have things gotten that bad really .

Maybe its a build-up of things going on with DCS and this is being used as pure frustration . Not sure to be honest .

We read this a lot here, but I highly doubt it. DCS folks are highly addicted, and there are virtually no alternatives if you are anything else than a dedicated Viper pilot. I claim 99.9% of the very vocal people will stay and continue buying modules. The ones who really leave are not really interested in DCS anyway.

First was "We dont like beta version 15-20 days patch but has unstable and need to wait to Stable to fly". Now "We dont like Stable version but need wait excesive time and has blocking bugs with need delay them"....

Agree with this and this is what I'm saying here ,  DCS is all over the place , as the saying goes ,  A Cluttered bedroom = a cluttered mind .

Keep your house in clean tidy order = happy 😊 well some thing like that . lol 😂

The problems are understood but making people wait for nothing will have negative consequences for everyone.

It's a bit like telling children you go to the amusement park and then constantly at the last minute telling them it has been called off.

In the future it would be better to give no exact date if it cannot be guaranteed.

In a little while, the Phantom will drop, this wailing will end, and this will be forgotten by all but a handful of the saddest people on earth. None of this will matter a year from now.

The saddest lesson on these pages is how vindictive people have become towards others. It’s a broken world. Some of you would demand that a children’s lemonade stand be shut down if you don’t receive a cookie with your beverage. You would rage on the national lemonade stand forums that the kids be “cancelled” and sent to reform school and the kid’s parents thrown in jail, because you are a “customer” and deserve perfection for the quid you paid at the tiny little enterprise.

Of course the same people demanding perfection of a small software gaming business do not apply the same standard to their own conduct or performance. I don’t see any geniuses around here. The only talent seems to be a passion for blind criticism.

Yes, Hayrake, it is broken.  It is not just here, but the entire World.  This is exactly what happens when G-d is not on the throne and man's desires are.

But this works in all facets of the World, not just in impatience.  The impatience is brought on by those who say one thing and do another.  It comes from the level of "me-first" which is resident in all of us.  It is not unreasonable to expect something when it has been promised without coersion.  It is also reasonable to hold people to a standard, i.e. if something is promised the promise should be kept.

Here we find two groups, HB and ED somehow not working together to what should be a shared goal and desire.  From all one can gather they have not been playing well with each other to end up at this place.  Sad.

One irony for me is I can fly a Phantom stick anytime I desire.  The last two sticks from the last flying US Phantom, an QF-4S, reside in my personal aircraft now.

The stick functions all work, less the weapons.  (The oxygen system works is not for show, it works.  We have been up to well into the altitudes where humans are not supposed to breathe normally.)  Video was shot with this camera view partly to remind myself my horizons are small in a big world.  The world of our own lives is tiny, a small small world.

There is life outside the DCS world, and it is awesome! - Richrach

🙂 I remember that well, I even got up for my paper round and wondered why all the tress were down and sheds roofs were flying toward me in the dark!
