Johnny Dioxin Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 There are quite a few posts in this thread that make me feel embarrassed. Brilliant example of why decent dev's from other sims won't touch DCS World. That's not just an assumption, either. 10 Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS; Pimax Crystal Light I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!

macedk Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Also remember this might be the most detailed combat plane to date. Had this been my product, well free world join or not. Right now I will not join, but that is a skill and time issue. Not to piss off anybody, but Heatblur is moving th bar for the hole thing. So are many other creators. Now, be angry if the product is not as advertised but not over a delay. Remember the delay is to ensure best possible xp for YOU. Yes some feel like that you cannot delay and this should have been in order. It should but was not, Look at the bright side, your wife and kids gets to spend one more day with you, before you are lost in the DCS dungeon. 3 OS: Win10 home 64bit*MB: Asus Strix Z270F/ CPU: Intel I7 7700k /Ram:32gb_ddr4 GFX: Nvidia Asus 1080 8Gb Mon: Asus vg2448qe 24" Disk: SSD Stick: TM Warthog #1400/Saitek pro pedals/TIR5/TM MFDs [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

If I had gone into the service, I'd have gone into the Air Force. Carrier life sounds tedious, lonely, and stressful, lol. And yes, a delay in DCS is about as First World as it comes, but thats the world that many of us who have the time to care about a video game are fortunate enough to live in, and I was hoping that it would come today, not tommorow. 1
Mainstay Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Sometimes your going through your preflight checklist.. your rolling on the concrete towards runway xx. Your anxious and hoping mission planning is gonna work out like planned. Don’t wanna disappoint flightlead and the squadron. One rolls out… two rolls out… your up next. Lining up, brakes on and throttle to mil power. Looking at the gauges you see a drop in engine two rpm… you tick the gauge with your flight gloves. Then you realize that this engine ain’t gonna happen. Your out! Sorry flight.. Sometimes it ain’t works as planned guys and girls. That doesn’t mean the person behind the engine, the pilot, the wso or anyone involved didn’t do their upmost best to get the show on the road! 3

Do we need to put on blame to continue ? Nope but it is in our nature to look for answers. We got ironclad answers here and are not happy about it, well that is a different can or worms. A negative answer with good intent, I will live with that all day. Life is life and embrace both negative and good. All the good stories come from high or low and how we made it anyway. VXE-6 Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Had to scroll back to see what I missed, LOL. Bummed about the delay along with all the other folks who put today aside to get our first Phantom fam flight at the Rag. There is no need to show all the contempt for the Dev/ED teams, it is a huge undertaking and has inherent risks. I have had to carry my flight bag back from the plane many times, I get it. Get your crew rest, and see you on the flight deck tomorrow. Hey Devs, at least don't make us wait until 1500 GMT please. 2
Ornithopter Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 (edited) Lets face it, the best part of Flight Simulation is getting sloshed and posting trash-talk on a forum anyway.... And I'll be three sheets to the wind by 1500 GMT. So the flying part can wait unitl tommorow. -->-->-->--> Cheers. Edited May 21, 2024 by Ornithopter 2
