Nice.  Have a fun weekend out in Vegas!

Do you ever meet up with community members and customers at these events?  Are they as hostile and negative as their online personas?  It seems like a lot of the more vocal folks on the forums, Discord, and social media don't get out much and they're just tied to tech and gaming.  Probably not the healthiest way to live.

Nice jolly! If you get the chance, give the PanIQ room a go, it’s not too hard and it’s a larf! 😉

Did it when I was in LV a while ago, tried the “Casino heist” . . . Was interesting 😆

Anyway, enjoy it there.

For the older module if this went the absolute worst case scenario they would remain as they are with no updates but continue to work. As feature complete modules this is all that is guaranteed even best case scenario although obviously if RB comes back and they decided to update or improve they could

That's the best news for days as my favourite Razbam module is the MiG-19. I never owned the F-15E and so can spare now my time reading this thread futher in the future.

Thank You for clarification, @NineLine, and have a good time in Vegas!

RB removed the links and plastered their site with messages re-directing everyone to E.D, the dispute is a 2-Sided legal conflict, RB is trying to push everyone to believing it's 100% on E.D., when it's not. Whether that was RB's intention or not really doesn't matter at this point because the outcome is clear, there are 100s of deadplayer servers w/ the "#PayRazbam / BoycottED slogans, there are comments being left all over ED's YT and FB Pages, Negative reviews on DCS's Store pages, and not ONE, A SINGLE POST, asking RB to do anything.

The slogan 'pay razbam' says it all and indeed very deliberate by razbam because they are doing nothing about the situation, they are encouraging it by doing nothing.

By going public w/ something that should have remained confidential, RB has basically put the community against ED, whether that was intentional or not is regardless, *(though posts on discord from the subcontractors nudge in the direction of, it was).

By going public, it was a deliberate unprofessional attitude in my opinion. The only reason I can see as exoneration for this is people will notice no updates and blame it on Razbam.

I have to tell you, I'm more annoyed to see the South Atlantic map now on sale for 50% off in the summer sale.  What is the sense of purchasing these modules with the "supposed" early adopter discount only to see them come on sale for  50% off while they are STILL in E/A.  I'm really getting weary of this now.  Especially since the S/A map is the most disappointing map I've purchased in DCS and why this is why I won't purchase Kola at 59,99 right now.

People believe everything on social media and discord, mainly due to the lack of information.

And the only information people got when it went public was Razbam's narrative of not been paid for their work citing other developers hinting they are having problems with ED as well. In short, Razbam have acted recklessly and candidly speaking I hope they go under and clear off for trying to monopolise the narrative and cause maximum damage to ED. Have people forgotten all the fantastic other modules out there, the fabulous work of VSN mods, all maps still being developed, campaigns, frequent updates etc. All because of Razbam went public and blamed it all on ED, I hope they get sued to their shoe laces, despicable.

Mizzy, give it a rest. Remember your first post in this thread. You’re being immature at this point and I would hope we’re beyond that.

Given the F-15E was also discounted when it wasn’t supposed to be a number of times during previous sales, I do wonder if this was intentional or sanctioned given they usually don’t participate?

Thanks, ED for the opportunity to apply for a refund.  When a dispute occurs between a vendor and a supplier, in all the years I have done business it has never been a practice to relay the information of that dispute to the consumer.  If the sold product becomes non-replaceable or unsupported the best a company can do is offer a refund.  And yes that is most times in the form of a store credit.  I see no harms or fouls here.  I do hope ED chooses to no longer offer the product for sale, as I think that would take away a lot of fuel from flamers.  Some of us need to ask ourselves if this game is for us.  I have no intention of giving it up.  Anyone is free to walk away if they feel slighted.  Best of luck to you and I hope you find happiness.  Life is too short to be unhappy.  And don't take that as passive-aggressive.  That is the truth.  I loved the SE.  But there are plenty of ways to have fun here and enjoy the happiness I get from this outstanding sim.  I am choosing that road.

I used to think that the ArmA community was toxic, but the DCS community is like "Hold my beer"

The damage done and the division within the community is irreparable IMHO, you can please some of the people some of the time, but can't please all of the people all of the time.

I've been part of the DCS party since the good old flanker days 29 years ago, and it pains me to see the toxicity here, and I cannot see a happy ending here, the damage done, and that continues to be done, will take months, perhaps years to fix.  Will it stop me from continuing to enjoy DCS world, not a chance, there's still plenty to offer, which some folks tend to forget.

If I dislike something or a game that much, I delete it, get a refund (if available) and move on, I don't keep harping on about the why's, and spread negativity about it, even though some may feel it's justified.

As much as these threads start off as being informative, they inevitably turn into a bun fight, with " he said, she said" and a mind that is closed will never be open, and never ne able to think outside the box, and at the bigger picture. Opinions are fine if they're healthy, but if they're toxic, with the intent to stir up emotions, then they should be "moderated" accordingly.

It's a very dark period in DCS history, I hope things will improve, but they are going to take time, and a massive amount of patience and understanding, of which there seems to be a shortfall amongst some individuals.

As a consumer, I'm not angry, bitter, or overly frustrated, I'm too old to let these emotions consume me, I'm dissapointed that this great community is eating itself.

Life is too short, Carpe Diem, enjoy what you have at this moment in time, and have a wonderful weekend.

When was it that the F-15E was on sale? I've gone back through the news since the mudhen hit EA and it's not listed as discounted in any of the sales.

It's only been out for a year tomorrow, and even back then its release was an internal bun fight between ED and Razbam, I don't recall it being on sale either.

The F15E is turning out to be a bit of a poisoned challise

Sorry if you don't like my posts, my advice, don't read them and there is always the ignore button. I was apologising for some remarks I made, not posting my opinions which I will continue to do when I feel it necessary to do so and that has nothing to do with you so move along. Kind regards

That’s correct. You won’t. It was improperly put on sale multiple times during sales that were not supposed to involve it.

Can you link an official source on that, or do you have anything to corroborate it? Saying a product has been improperly discounted is a serious charge, even if it doesn't lead to material loss it can make it more difficult to sell a product at full price, so if that can be confirmed it would definitely be relevant to the current situation, if it can be backed up.

If you are able to confirm you're speaking officially on behalf of Razbam that would do, for me at least.

Yeah, the internet doesn’t forget.  Happened at least two times.

So that means no matter what happens, we will keep the Harrier, M2K and the MiG-19 at least at the current state? That‘s great to hear. Really great 👍.
But i hope at the end of course the same for the SE (finished, of course). It‘s a great module.

Yeah, and that's the exact price someone buying their first module would have seen with their 50% introductory discount. I mean actual proof, not a screenshot from a browser.

Edit: That screenshot is from a Reddit thread here where others speak about this. Along with the additional link provided by Rainmaker below (that one confirmed by ED) it's enough for me.

All of that shouldn’t really be breaking news to anyone. Word spread pretty rapidly during those occurrences and a bunch of folks purchased at that reduced price.

No, that’s not the case with those modules. A simple internet search will reveal what you want, I’m not gonna go back and forth till you are pleased here. Its not NEW news

And there has been a request that statements like that come from official sources or not at all. If you had an actual source you could do better than a browser screenshot.
