-fox- Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Hurray! My copy of the manual arrived today, which is especially awesome because Monday is holiday in Germany. The manual looks great, btw..
petherf Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I ordered from TFC today! I have to google it for the address, http://fighter-collection.com/pages.php
blaster454 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I guess I'm having a problem understanding why the manual is so hard to get into distribution--it is still listed as out-of-print my U.S. Amazon and I've seen nothing flowing from any other distribution channels other than TFC and that is mostly UK/EU based. If it is in fact in the customs loop, then why is it not available for pre-order? Does anyone know exactly who will be distributing this in the U.S.? HansRoaming Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I have mine on pre order with Amazon.co.uk anyone have any idea when they will get stock?
coolts Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Forget Amazon ATM, (for UK anyway). everyone here who actually has the manual, got it direct from the publishers, (TFC). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] i7 9700k | 32gb DDR4 | Geforce 2080ti | TrackIR 5 | Rift S | HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO Pedals
jamiroq Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) a friendly suggestion for ed/tfc: don't ship the manuals in just a padded envelope, at least not to non-uk customers. while mine was not outright torn apart it is quite bent. the binder and pages can probably be straightened out with a bit of work, but still. in that, i think, amazon's higher shipping charges are justified - they ship books in some sort of box (when they have them in stock :D). edit: a couple of pictures, if anyone's interested :): Edited June 1, 2009 by jamiroq

Yes, I can second that. Mine was just slightly bent (nothing like in this pictures, fortunately) but a box would definately be more appropriate for this manual.

Axion Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 It seems as though this is not uncommon, a few of our squad members have expressed concerns (including myself) over the quality of how this product is distributed. HitchHikingFlatlander Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 ^Well I would have mentioned that but Jim already had mentioned it as well as correcting the shipping process. But are you saying we should settle for the likes of UPS, FEDEX, DHL, etc..... to not take care of our goods in shipping? j/k http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
