Cheese16 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I feel like this was mostly existing modules and dynamic campaign marketing concepts that definitely didn't look like gameplay footage. Also no Razbam, speaks volumes. It also feels like a seriously reduced focus on third party modules on the whole aside from Heatblur. Fulda Gap/Berlin looks pretty sick though. Ugra just keeps hitting. After all the focus on F6F and WW2 Marianas last year, it feels a bit like ED are sort of hiding from it now. This is the thing I'm really excited for and after this I feel like we're going to be waiting a long time unfortunately. After the swath of half baked launches this year, I would have thought ED would want to inspire a bit of confidence in their customers rather than making more lofty promises. Also starting dev in 2025 releasing in 2026 for 2 FF modules? Does anyone seriously buy this? That is so unrealistic for ED I'm kind of shocked they're saying it. If we can do an F-35 how can we not do a UH-60 or any number of other things that have been shot down because of "lack of documentation?" If pilot testimony is all it takes now, it seems like we could do just about anything. Also why the F-35 and not an F-22? Or more Redfor aircraft. Obviously I'm not the only one saying this but the community has been begging for more redfor for years, but nah let's just remake FC3 at full fidelity and turn Full fidelity modules into FC3 for some quick cash. 6

Would have hoped for an F-22 instead as well but with the announcement of the full fidelity F-15C, which I always wanted ED to make, perhaps ED felt they would compete with one another for sales.
LavaFlight Posted January 18 Posted January 18 7 hours ago, otaolive said: I was expecting that ED could explain how an F-35 would be done, for me the future of DCS are changing for a less realistic models ... I think they are pushing towards console gaming. Anyone that thinks they’re seeing even a remotely accurate f35 model in 2025, 2026, maybe even 27 is out of their minds. This time next year we will still be seeing the c130 and f35 in the beyond video 6
SOLIDKREATE Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I like what they did with the F-35A module. None of us saw it coming, jut like real life I will say in order to really be able to enjoy this bird; we'd need the Su-57. stelr Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Not to be picky, but unless I wasn't watching close enough, I didn't see any parachutes or static lines attached to the cargo loads on the heavy drops as they are sitting on their pallets (also lack all the layers of honeycomb that would be visible on the bottom and top, just under the chutes). Riggers are gonna get their collective butts chewed for trashing all those supplies. 1
The Gryphon Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I am pretty sure ED will break down the 2025-video in stages, posting weekly updates etc. Otherwise this post would be several pages long. I mean the Berlin map itself could atleast a one- page post, and then we have the Eurofighter, the improved infantry soldiers, dynamic campaign etc. Patience is king gentleman. 1
draconus Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I try to compile this newsletter and always get error: expected "ED roadmap" in line: #3 Absolutely amazing that you finally make F-15C full fidelity Thanks, it was long awaited since LOMAC, then FC3. Heatblur said they'd do one eventually as a further module but other things were currently ahead of it in priority. It'd seem unlike them not to be open about it if it was some way along already. And IIRC then a naval Phantom mod made a fleeting appearance in a previous video, so I wouldn't read too much into it at this stage. 1

Antonisrho Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Amazing video as always this time of year! SO many great things like DC, Eurofighter and (OMG) F-35! We can't wait for the specifics of "when" for . For me the holy grail of DCS would be the spherical world - the ability to fly and fight battles anywhere on the planet and we haven't seen anything about it. Is that still a thing and if yes is there any estimate? 1 My System: MB: MSI Z790-P, CPU: i7-13700K @ 5.4 GHz, RAM: Corsair DDR5 64GB 6400MHz, SSD: NVMe Crucial P3 Plus 4TB, Nvidia 3080, Oculus Quest 2

II.JG1_Vonrd Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I'd like to humbly thank ED for the awards in the Livery competition. I'm absolutely Stoked! Everyone in the competition really showed just how much talent and dedication livery creators put into their craft. Congratulations and a big ~Salute~ to all of the winners! 4
