Kiowa needs map grids for Germany added

The A-10C II accepts grid coordinates fine, however, the Kiowa Warrior doesn't seem to have the new map in it's flight mapping computer. Maybe this needs to go in the OH-58D thread?

I've tested the KW in both the developed (hi def) area of the map.. in various spots, and the waypoints are fine and I've been able to add MGRS prepoint targets (EG : 32 U NB 4575 0040, a playing field in a college next to the airfield at Fulda) and they seem to function correctly... I also put some waypoints out in the undeveloped (lo def) area (the Mohnesee area) and although the helipad was fine, as I went off the edge waypoints went VERY strange... so it seems the developed area is "ok" for this. Or I've been lucky in the areas in which I've flown.. Where were you @MatzWarhog ?

I was North at Hamburg... every entry would just revert to my location at the airport. I'll try some other areas further south later today,

Cool, I flew some more in the Fulda gap with similar success, waypoints also worked for me around Berlin and up around Peenemunde, though I didn't input MGRS there.. I'll test later too.

OOOh, we've been moved , OK.. just flew from Utersen ( North Hamburg) and tried two MGRS grids to the North, one in what looks like hi def and one further north. Both worked fine for me, 1st being 32 U NE 4338 5667, a railway station in Elmshorn, and the second is just north of 2 little lakes in what looks pretty unpopulated map wise at 32 U NE 4281 8858.. Where are those in relation to where you were trying @MatzWarhog.. and just to check, you were hitting enter at the end of the POS line before hitting Store ? ( sorry if it's a dumb question).. if you don't it will Store as present position.

I'll check shortly... I really hope it wasn't user error on my part, but if it was, I'll be the first to publicly admit it and shame myself. (Fingers crossed it wasn't me, I'm new to the amazing Kiowa and it's entirely possible...)

I've just started using Bailey's WIP Stream Deck profile... and I was totally skipping the enter before storing. Consider this a non-bug/non-issue! Thanks for the troubleshooting TokenJester! This one was on me! What an awesome helicopter!!

I can't find one from Bailey on the Kiowa no.  I did find the AI script and KU script which are pretty nice though!

+1, but it's worth noting that Kiowa currently has no updates, also Discord is pretty quiet about support. After the team split in January (2nd time for PC) I don't really expect any updates soon, although I hope I'm wrong.

Absolutely spot on.  No amount of ED/PC gaslighting will convince me this module has a future until an update comes, and we can all see for ourselves.

Its been quite the year for 3rd party projects. I wonder if BD is going to make those 4 possible campaigns for the Kiowa still happen?

Despite the announcements over a year ago, I would not have expected this. BD is certainly working on other campaigns at the moment (as I know and the main focus is there), and the situation with PC does not guarantee further development. However, you will see good news very soon. However, this is a different topic related to the map of Germany :).
