Esac_mirmidon Posted Sunday at 12:06 PM Posted Sunday at 12:06 PM Any plans from MD3 or ED to add in the future a Paddles with moving arms to the Essex? I think this could be a great addition to have a Signal Paddles officer on the deck helping the Corsair traps. 7 " You must think in russian.." Nealius Posted Sunday at 02:20 PM Posted Sunday at 02:20 PM +1 Not sure how we're supposed to do any carrier ops without an LSO. 3
Saxman Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM Would it even be possible to see the LSO in-game? 1

Silver_Dragon Posted yesterday at 12:52 PM Posted yesterday at 12:52 PM M3 lacks access to the required "core" functionality to implement Paddles. This requires ED to implement it in the WW2 carrier "core" first before any third party can use it. Silver_Dragon Posted yesterday at 01:41 PM Posted yesterday at 01:41 PM Actualy ED has not claimed nothing about WW2 carrier funtionality. Even on a Pimax 8KX with the FoV almost 1:1 with real life the resolution is simply too low to render that level of detail. The Crystal might be cleaner, but it's still only 4k per eye.
Esac_mirmidon Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:51 PM Well im on 2D, but VR tech will improve over time. Not having a Paddles because VR resolution limits.... 1 " You must think in russian.." Not having a Paddles because VR resolution limits.... You misunderstand me. VR would be EASIER to see it with because the scale and FoV are closer to real life than a flat display. It'd be even less likely the LSO would be visible on a flat display. 1
Esac_mirmidon Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM (edited) I thought you mean the opposite. Then in VR would be easier, and in 2D is just a zoom issue if needed, but the Paddles is a must iMHO Edited yesterday at 05:36 PM by Esac_mirmidon 2 " You must think in russian.." ESAc_flankercobra Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago M3, commented that they wanted to implement it, along with the elevators, the stop barrier and the lower deck; but that for this ED had to make some changes to the core of the simulator, the good thing is that it would also work for ED's CV6. 1 1
ESAc_flankercobra Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) The nickname of the future M3 paddles..., will be "Leathe(o)rne(u)ks" after the code of the YE/ZB beacon jajaja Edited 3 hours ago by ESAc_flankercobra
