There is 1.0.1a big patch wich you should install on top of BS 1.0 and there is also HOTFIX 1.0.1a wich is small and you can install it on patched version of BS (1.0.1).

Some claim that 1.0.1a gives you +a boost to your minimum FPS. The [a] value range changes between systems :) I guess that was not intended by the developers ;)

I heard from a reliable source that users with version 1.0.1a can expect an improvement in performance of almost cos(pi/2.0) frames per second over 1.0.1... :D

OK,, I will admit to being the 1st dumb SOB to ask this question. I have the downloaded English version from back in November, I heard about the patch, went to the link and found I have 2 files for patches??? Which one of these am I supposed to download and install?

or am I supposed to do the hotfix to bring the original up to 101a, them I patch the 101a update?

You are supposed to just install the 1.0.1a patch if you have a clean install, if you installed the 1.0.1 patch then you need to use the hot fix patch.

 

But since you are from the USA you shouldn't really even need to install the hotfix because it just fixes a problem for users from other countries.

Please clarify , "if you installed the 1.0.1 patch" as I did not see a 101 patch?

 

All I have seen is a 101a patch, and a 101 to 101a hot fix.

 

I think what you are saying is to simply install the 101a patch and forget about the 101 to 101a hot fix correct?
