If Dassault can be brought into the fold, why can't SAAB? We need a Gripen-C

If Dassault can be brought into the fold, can't ED liaise with SAAB, to onboard them and/or a preferred 3rd dev to consider creating a Gripen-C for DCS?

Then we would have the Typhoon, Rafale and Gripen to combat the American jets in Dissimilar air combat training (DACT)

I like the way you're thinking We'll see in time. Up until recently, Rafale was a big no-no and things changed. Maybe in the future opportunities open up for a Gripen as well.

Opsec reasoning most likely. And if I remember correctly Wags said SAAB doesn't like giving away information on their current airframes. 

We're extremely lucky to get a rafale and will most likely not see it for the next 5 years minus a teaser here and there que the eurofighter.

I can't recall specifics, honestly. But, big defense contractors are usually clumsy things in this regard. They don't so much see intention, they just see that it happened.

You see, the trouble with what people call 'red air' is that the 'can't do this' latest generation fighters and the old planes are one and the same.

Yeah we'll give them info on a 40 year old platform for a full fidelity simulation and even have decent weapons. But we can't get that for a 40 year old fox1 Flanker. Yet somehow can get full fidelity in the F-35..

And the problem is? Think about why certain third parties that make Red content haven't released a Su-24 or a Su-25 or a Su-30... if it were that easy, and why Deka can't make a modern Chinese fighter (and I'm not talking about a Pakistani JF-17).... think about it.
