ED Team Coyote Posted August 26, 2009 ED Team Share Posted August 26, 2009 We need VERY HQ photos of aircraft carrier Vinson CVN-70. We need EVERYTHING: ship itself (photo & blueprints, schematics), catapults, navigation lights, a/c wing contents and placement on deck, towing vehicles, trolleys and etc. We need ALL, much info and in a best quality. It's possible to provide info for sister ships (Nimitz type). Vinson is currently in modernization process. Is there any info about new equipment and weapons being installed? Thanks in advance, Coyote Я принимаю модели, а вы мучаетесь, но у вас растет мастерство!!!:book: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

mvsgas
ED would probably get better results than us by simply contacting the US Navy, CVN-70 or Second fleet public affairs office. Maybe submitting a FOIA form? http://foia.navy.mil/foia/requests.asp Just my 2 cent,:book: 1 To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. And our new ones are a joke. Edited September 1, 2009 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Its just you, the runway on the american carrier looks much bigger.
crazyeddie
The American deck is considerably bigger, I have run up and down both ... The angled flight deck landing area is a fair bit longer as well on the Nimitz, if memory serves me right. No "best pilots" - Worked with them all, RN, USN, USMC and even the Frogs - All pretty damn good in my experience, anybody that lands on one of those heaving decks in a force 8 has to have that little something extra that sets them aside from other pilots, and a huge helping of insanity !!!
