Alrighty, now that it has officially been announced, let's have a discussion about the upcoming Balkans Map by OnReTech!

The announcement mentioned that a number of important airbases in Italy would be included. I am wondering: will Sardegna and Decimomannu be included?

And here begins the "please expand/add [insert favorite airbase, zone or country] to the map, it's not that far away and it's key to the region" thread.😁

Would be great if we got more of the greek islands mixed in to the southern end of the map as well. by no means a NEED for it. but it will allow us to make even bigger missions in different regions. and I know there's going to be some people (myself included) that would want to simulate some fictional as well as some real fights that's happend down there ^^ in any case I'm looking forwards to some more European areas to enjoy flying over and bombing 😄

Really looking forward to this map, once again a green map, in an area i am somewhat familiar with.

It would be amazing, as Lexikdark already stated, to get some parts of greece, especially the Island Limnos, as it is the main island (Altis) in a certain milsim game released in 2013, and i would absolutely love to make that island my main base of operations.

I won't deny that Vietnam would be my first choice 😎, but the truth is, the Balkans are a close second. It's good to know that the earlier predictions, rumors, and suspicions turned out to be true! 🙏

Probably EA like always. It was the same with Sinai, which changed a lot for the better during that time.

I hope that SA 125 NEVA full fidelity will arrive along with the map, then the village of Budjanovci, because the F117 needs to land somewhere.
It would be correct for ED to release an official skin for the Mig 29 in the colors and markings of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) from the period '92-'03.

This has been high in many players list. Mine included. A map that saw combat in the 90s. Which match a lot of the technology we have in DCS, even if aircraft models don't match.  

Within DCS limitations, we have F15, F14, F16, F18, Harrier(as long as she lasts) M2000(as long as she lasts) A6(when it comes) tornado (when it comes) MiG29, various helicopter, (all of them i would guess except the 50)

Balkans map will be a great addition to DCS! I‘m very excited!

It would be nice if Balkans and Germany would come close together in coverage in the north.

great to have aviano, istrana but you can consider adding Rivolto, Cervia, Ghedi,villafranca verona,  piacenza san damiano,pratica di mare LIRE, grazzanise  and decimomannu   too? maybe also Zeltweg LOXZ in Austria ? THANK YOU 😉
