What is everyone's favorite module?

My personal favorite modules are the F/A-18C and MIG-21. Say what your favorites are below

Fixed wing - F-15E
Rotary wing - Mi-24

[Hiob]

Electric Jet - Viper

Steam Gauges - Mirage F1

Warbird - Corsair

Helicopter - Mi-8

(Some are actually close ties. Ask me tomorrow and you may get a slightly different list) I love different Aircraft for different traits and the mood of the day determines my company.

That's a tough one. All of them have their charm. And I tend to fly whatever I feel like from a day to day bases, like Hiob writes!  

But for fighters, the teen series will always have a special place in my heart. 

For helicopters I really like the Mi-8 and Gazelle. 

Little tip. Since your new and might not have the deepest pockets yet. Are you aware that there are some excellent free full fidelity modules like the A-4E,(just got news that the graphics will receive an overhaul), T-45C just got an update, the UH-60L just got a major update, and the OH-6A is also very excellent! You can find links and discussions of these under the mod section!

Mine are: The Viggen and the Mi-8 ... and just for the record I own every Module released before the Razbam debacle, plus the F-4U, and I still prefer those two

The Viper and the Huey. I've also spent hundreds of hours in the Flaming Cliff planes, especially the mig-29 and the two flankers. They are super cool.

Yes I agree! I love flying all the FC3 planes, and I love flying the Huey and Viper too

I love flying the Viggen! Not so much the Mi-8 though, it's so clunky.

Yes I love the teen series of fighters!

I tried getting most free mods but they didn't work! Probably because my DCS is not updated to latest, cause I can't connect to the internet in my shed where the sim is setup.

But for now I've got the I-16, F-15C, F-16C, F/A-18C, Spitfire, Focke Wulf, Bf-109, Christen Eagle, Yak-52, L-39, Huey, Ka-50, Mi-8, Gazelle, and several more.

Just Helicopters. Saw them decades ago near Arthurs Pass in action. I'm afraid, there it all started...

My top 10 owned aircraft modules In order of my personal preference (i have all except J-17, Chinook, Kiowa, and Corsair):
1. Harrier
2. Mirage 2000
3. AH-64 Apache
4. C-101 Aviojet
5. Gazelle
6. F5-E
7. F-16
8. Mirage F1
9. MiG-19
10. MiG-21

I would also give a shout-out to the most overlooked plane in DCS, the free, stock Su-25T. It's such a joy to fly and operate!

Surprised it took that long for someone to mention the F-14.  Just the right mix of analog and digital, looks infinitely cool, and has really great missiles if you know how to use them.

It's all analog, you can throw it around quite a lot before you get into trouble (when you do, the wipe is often comedy gold), it can actually still get me queasy in VR if I get a bit too epileptic maneuvering at low speed

I am thinking about getting the Viggen module. How difficult / steep, is the learning curve compared to other aircraft? The Viggen looks fantastic for Kola missions etc...

So far,my faves are the P-47 Thunderbolt,the Mirage F1 and the A4 Skyhawk.

It is actually a pretty simple aircraft, but many people dislike the fact that its Computer and HUD are very primitive, and thus very very different from the ones on aircrafts like the Hornet or Viper, so your prior knowledge of other aircrafts will not help to learn the Viggen. I was going to say, check the excellent youtube tutorial series (and if you get the module, accompanying mission set) from the incomparable forums user Rudel_chw.... but also those from Viking, and err, Crash Laobi and you'll see what a strange but magnificent beast it is. Come to think of it, coming from the skyhawk to that might be something of a natural transition as well. It takes me a long time to learn any module so I can't really compare, but I appreciate that in general, any given mission gives you Just One Job To Do so helps focus a lot.

Favourite warbird is the BF-109 K4. I just find it really intuitive to fly and the guns in the nose are easy too aim. The P-51 is my next favourite. Then the Spitfire. I also like the P-47 but can't fly it very well. 

Modern jets the F16. 

Favourite jets F4 phantom and Mig-21.

I enjoy flying the Bf-109 sometimes... but I often fly and love the P-51 and Spitfire (I don't have the P-47) LOVE the F-16 and Mig-21 (don't have the F-4).
